Eight new community bus services will soon be launched in and around Bristol as part of the West of England Combined Authority’s WESTlocal scheme.  The scheme allows communities to access cash to design and run their very own, new, not-for-profit bus service.

00:21successful bidders in Tew Valley and Poulton launched in April and since then hundreds
00:27of people have used the bus service. The new West Local routes set up on Sunday September
00:351st and offered two weeks of free rides. The services include 532, which is a new early
00:45morning and late evening service between Yate and Keynsham and midday and afternoon return
00:50journeys from Emerson's Green to Keynsham, K1 Keynsham which is an hourly community
00:56bus and Y8 from Hawkesbury.
