00:00 Public transport is often a topic of conversation in the city of Bristol, but how do locals
00:07 get on with transport and do they use it?
00:10 Yes I do, but I have a car, a bus car, a bus pass, so I find that that's quite useful at
00:17 times and I live in the middle of Westmearn on a trip so there's a bus route, a direct
00:23 bus route right into town, so it's quite good really.
00:26 At the moment my health won't let me, it's too uncomfortable for me, not because of the
00:33 buses but because of my health condition.
00:38 But normally the bus is good and when I use it, especially from here in Westbury, it's
00:47 a good bus service to and from town and it's handy for the mail as well.
00:52 I usually mostly use taxis, it's only now and then I use a bus, not very often.
00:59 Yeah, they are quite hard to use because sometimes you're waiting for a bus and then it's delayed,
01:03 then you've got to wait ages for another one.
01:06 So yeah, I sooner catch a taxi if I can.
01:11 Yes I do and fairly well if it's running on time.
01:20 I think so yes, it needs something to make it work a bit better.
01:25 I think the transport in Bristol is very good for people who use it but if you can't get
01:29 to the shops you want to with public transport, you use a car.
01:34 They could plan the routes, the war they're raging against cars just causes traffic jams,
01:40 so traffic, it's a double edged sword, so it gets worse, the bus service gets worse
01:47 because there's traffic jams being caused by the mad way that the corporation decide
01:51 to plan their routes and put the bus stops right out in the middle of the road and crazy
01:57 things like that.
