00:00The court will reopen in Timor-Leste the request of the Philippines to return the former Negros Oriental representative Arnie Tevez Jr. to the country to face the cases.

00:16The court did not repeat the ex-audition request of the Philippines against the former Negros Oriental representative Arnulfo Arnie Tevez Jr.

00:26According to Timorese News website, Hatutan.com, the Court of Appeals ordered a retrial for the case of Arnulfo Arnie Tevez Jr.

00:33This is also the information that arrived to the lawyers of Arnulfo Arnie Tevez Jr. here in the Philippines.

00:38The plenary of the Court of Appeals decides to find that the appealed decision is irremediably null and void.

00:50That is the first decision that Representative Tevez can extradite.

00:57Ordering that, within the scope of the judicial phase of the extradition proceedings to which these proceedings refer,

01:03that diligence of producing testimonial evidence be renewed so that all the judges who signed the final decision participate,

01:11followed by the issuing of new decision.

01:14In the interview of Hatutan.com with Tevez's private lawyer in Timor-Leste,

01:19there were several hearings where only one judge presided,

01:22so the process of laying evidence was invalidated.

01:26That is why the Court of Appeals in Timor-Leste ordered Tevez's appeal against the extradition request of the Philippines

01:32and ordered that the case be heard again.

01:35According to Justice Secretary Jesus Crespin Remulia, they will follow as long as everything is in order.

01:42Since the Philippines does not have an extradition treaty in Timor-Leste,

01:45the extradition request for Tevez must be passed in court.

01:49The Philippines is asking for Tevez to return to the country

01:53to face multiple murder, frustrated murder, and attempted murder

01:58as well as the killing of the former Negros Oriental Governor Roel de Gamo and others.
