00:18Grandpa played the tuba in the village band.
00:21Tommy loved to listen to the tuba's booming sound.
00:25Then Grandpa got too old to play the tuba anymore.
00:29He gave the tuba to Tommy.
00:32Tommy went into his room and blew down the tuba.
00:36It went umpah umpah umpah.
00:39His sister shouted, What a horrible noise!
00:42Take it somewhere else.
00:45He went downstairs to the living room.
00:48His mother said, It makes my head ache.
00:51He went into the garage.
00:54His father shouted, I can't stand that noise.
00:58No bathing.
01:00So Tommy went on the sands all by himself.
01:04No one could hear him and he played umpah umpah umpah all day long.
01:09But no one could show Tommy how to play a tune on the tuba.
01:13One day it was foggy.
01:15The foghorn was broken on Captain Morton's ship.
01:19I can't take my ship out to sea without a foghorn.
01:24Said Captain Morton.
01:26He heard the sound of Tommy's tuba coming through the fog.
01:31Please come and help me.
01:33He said.
01:35Tommy stood on deck and blew as hard as he could.
01:38The other ships kept well clear.
01:42Captain Morton was very pleased.
01:44You must go and have proper lessons.
01:47He said to Tommy.
01:50Tommy learned to play the tuba.
01:52And now he plays with the band.
01:55Just like his grandpa used to do.
01:58The end.
