00:00Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the Karens that have left
00:09their notorious mark in history by being the rudest, most entitled, and most belligerent
00:15folks ever.
00:27Skirt Cop This recent example of Karen audacity is
00:35already legendary.
00:37In 2024, at a restaurant in St. George, Utah, a teenage woman had the unexpected experience
00:43of having her skirt yanked by a stranger.
00:46Ida Lorenzo channeled her inner Helen Lovejoy and deemed the woman's skirt inappropriate
00:51for the children.
00:56When the police became involved, Lorenzo tried to justify her actions, even claiming people
01:01applauded her for her actions.
01:09That didn't stop the cops from charging her with battery or stop her from getting fired
01:13from the Utah Attorney General's office.
01:15She had her plea in abeyance accepted, where the sentence won't be given if she stays
01:20out of trouble for a year.
01:24The McCloskeys In 2020, after the murder of George Floyd,
01:39there were many protests across the U.S.
01:42In St. Louis, Missouri, one demonstration entered a private neighborhood to protest
01:47outside the mayor's home.
01:49The group was greeted by the McCloskeys, but not in a supportive way.
01:53Instead, the couple vastly escalated things by pointing firearms at the outraged citizens,
01:59becoming fonder for ridicule online.
02:09The McCloskeys were charged and pleaded guilty to lesser offenses and received fines.
02:15They were pardoned in 2021, but in 2022, the Missouri Supreme Court suspended both
02:20their law licenses indefinitely.
02:22However, the punishment was stayed.
02:26Seemingly a glutton for punishment, in 2022, Mark ran to be the Republican candidate for
02:31Senator of Missouri, but got only 3% of the primary votes.
02:52The COVID-19 pandemic really motivated the Karens to come out and make their issues everyone
02:58else's problem.
02:59In 2021, a mother and her child shopped at Super Saver in Lincoln, Nebraska, while wearing
03:05masks.
03:06Janine Hoskovec popped up without a mask and harassed the pair with condescension, conspiracies,
03:12and coughing.
03:13As the family backed away, Hoskovec called them cute and sheep for wearing masks.
03:19With a smirk, she then claimed she was coughing from allergies.
03:25When the video spread online, Hoskovec's employer, the German tech company SAP, wasn't
03:31happy.
03:32After a brief investigation, they fired her from her role.
03:437.
03:44Soho Karen In 2020, at the Arlo Hotel Soho in New York
03:48City, Mia Ponsetto experienced what many of us have horrifyingly endured.
03:54Her cell phone was missing.
03:56Instead of retracing her steps, she did some racial profiling by accusing the teenage son
04:01of jazz musician Keon Harold of stealing it.
04:12This resulted in Ponsetto tackling the black teenager.
04:15Amazingly, the missing phone was found by an Uber driver whose services she'd used.
04:21Ponsetto then appeared in an interview with Gayle King, claiming that since she has Puerto
04:25Rican heritage, she couldn't be racist.
04:37Ponsetto eventually pleaded guilty to a hate crime.
04:40She was handed two years of probation and had to continue counseling for a previous
04:44conviction after a DUI.
04:526.
04:53Kefauve Kelly In 2018, after working late, all Diari and
05:03Tolles wanted to do was go home to his apartment in St. Louis, Missouri.
05:07Instead, he had to contend with the self-appointed gatekeeper, Hilary Moller, and her tiny dog.
05:13She demanded to see his key fob, inspiring her nickname, and wanted to know where he
05:18lived.
05:26Tolles eventually got past her, however, Moller wasn't done.
05:31She followed him to his door and later called the cops.
05:41Moller defended her actions by claiming she followed the building's rules for questioning
05:45unknown people trying to get in.
05:47Others disagree and believe Tolles being black had something to do with her escapades.
05:52Moller's employer, Tribeca STL, condemned her racial profiling and fired her.
06:055.
06:06Barbecue Becky 2018 was a wild time for Karens getting mainstream
06:22publicity and one of the most famous was Jennifer Schulte.
06:26Upon seeing a family of black people enjoying a barbecue next to Lake Merritt in Oakland,
06:31she decided to make her grievance the police's issue by claiming they were in a non-designated
06:36area and stating she was scared.
06:49When the cops arrived, Schulte continued her shenanigans by crying after being confronted,
06:54making the officer likely realize he wasn't paid nearly enough.
07:06Schulte was mocked online and birthed many, many memes, and was probably even more furious
07:11when the community rallied and held several barbecuing events in the area to protest her
07:16dreadful behavior.
07:184.
07:20Illegally Selling Water Without a Permit Another legend of the 2018 era of Karens
07:25is Allison Etel.
07:27Working from home in San Francisco, California, she heard and saw a site that left her reeling
07:32– a child selling water to raise money to go to Disneyland.
07:37Rather than appreciate the plucky girl's business acumen, Etel called the cops to claim
07:42she was illegally selling water without a permit.
07:50Many believe that the girl being black probably influenced her decision.
07:54Etel then claimed she didn't actually ring the police.
07:57Yet, records showed that was a lie.
07:59Due to the backlash, Etel resigned as CEO of TreatWell Health.
08:13Because most people are decent, folks bought Disneyland tickets for the girl and her family
08:17after that horrible experience.
08:203.
08:21SoCal Karen Lena Hernandez has the distinction of going
08:32viral twice in 2020, but not in a positive way.
08:37She was recorded going on racist rants against people with Asian heritage around Torrance,
08:42California.
08:43Hernandez escaped punishment for this, but eventually her luck ran out.
08:47In 2019, Hernandez argued with a mall employee.
08:50When Casey Lynn Salminoa intervened, she was attacked by the angry Karen.
09:03Hernandez's earlier viral videos helped her and she was arrested.
09:08She pleaded no contest to battery and received 47 days in jail, 3 years of probation, and
09:14anger management classes.
09:22In 2021, she went back to court due to being unable to afford the classes.
09:27Instead, Hernandez got one year of probation and 80 hours of community service.
09:332.
09:34San Fran Karen In 2020, Lisa Alexander got too far into
09:42someone else's business as captured in a video by James Waniyo in San Francisco, California.
09:48As Waniyo stenciled Black Lives Matter on his property, Alexander and her friend Robert
09:54Larkins questioned whether he was allowed to do that, stating falsely that they knew
10:06the property owner.
10:07They later called the cops on Waniyo.
10:10Due to this, Alexander's company, LaFace Skincare, lost business opportunities and
10:15Larkins was fired by employer Raymond James.
10:23In 2024, she appeared on Dr. Phil Primetime to defend her actions and state she was waiting
10:30for the truth to come out.

10:57Central Park Karen Few Karen cases have left as lasting an impression.
11:06It has it all.
11:07Racism, false police reports, fake crying, and sweet justice.
11:11In 2020, Christian Cooper met Amy Cooper, who is no relation, while birdwatching in
11:18New York City's Central Park.
11:20He was concerned that her dog was unleashed in a leashed section.
11:24Getting nowhere with her, Christian tried to lure the dog towards him, causing Amy to
11:29explode.
11:30She called the cops and told them an African-American man was threatening her, all while tugging
11:35Thankfully, Christian recorded this.
11:44Amy was charged for her false report, but it was dropped after completing a course.
11:49She was fired by Franklin Templeton, which she appealed and lost.
12:06What other legendary Karens did we miss?
