00:0014 is Joshua who will come out to Sally.
00:10In her room, he made her sit down and told her in a voice that just started to cry,
00:18Mommy, I have something to tell you.
00:23What? That you want to be a writer?
00:27Yes, but that's not it. I think I'm gay.
00:34Sally encouraged Joshua and told him,
00:39I know, but what about now?
00:46Your Grandpa Jim and Grandpa Dale are gay.
00:49Your Auntie Erich is trans.
00:51I'm queer, and now you're gay.
00:54Has the world gone mad?
00:58Sally never defined who she was.
01:01She just was.
01:03She was a water that followed the shape and form of anyone or anything she had sex with.
01:11She didn't know the names of these people back then, but years later,
01:17she found out that aside from lesbians and straights,
01:21she was in a relationship with non-binary, asexual, trans men, genderfluid, and all kinds of people.
01:31When she was with other people, it was as if she was repeatedly embracing her own body.
01:41She wasn't ashamed of her vibrant desire for sex.
01:46She also found love in the folds of her flabby clothes.
01:52For her, there was no failed relationship.
01:56Even if it lasted a few months or a few years, it was still a relationship.
02:02You still loved each other and did magic.
02:06There was no requirement to last long.
02:09There was also no great love for her.
02:12Everything is great love.
02:14There is no advantage.
02:17One afternoon, they watched a feature on TV about the Home for Golden Gays in Pasay.
02:25It was hosted by a movie reporter and city councilor named Justo Justo.
02:31Most of the residents there are old gays whose families have been exiled
02:37because they are no longer like their childhood friends who always give money.
02:42When Home for Golden Gays closed due to the death of Justo Justo in 2012,
02:48many of the former residents were exiled.
02:54How sad the way we treat our golden gays, said Sally.
03:01It was raining.
03:03Sally looked outside.
03:05Then Joshua invited her outside.
03:09It was just pouring rain.
03:12Sally sighed and while holding her hands, she said,
03:17this rain is for the gays,
03:21to give them peace.
03:27At that time, Joshua felt love and care for his mother.
03:37And since then, for him, the rain always brings peace.
