00:00Australian singing legend Judith Durham has been farewelled in an emotional state memorial in Melbourne.
00:06In a gift to her lifelong fans, an unreleased song called Carry Me was played,
00:12celebrating her incredible voice and life.
00:16For I know I'll never find another
00:21A voice that mesmerised audiences for more than 60 years.
00:26And one more time at Hamer Hall, big names of Australian music and long time fans
00:32together to celebrate Judith Durham's extraordinary life.
00:36Judith Durham was one of the first singers to take Australian music to the world.
00:40To me the song she sang sounded uniquely Australian.
00:43Judith's early talent was matched by her determination as a teenager in Melbourne.
00:49Week after week she turned up at the same jazz club and asked if she could sing a song with the band.
00:54Telling her mum Beverly one day she wanted to sing on all the stages of the world.
01:00It wouldn't be long before she got her wish.

01:06The Seekers music became a soundtrack for growing up in Australia and was beamed to the world.
01:12Their song The Carnival is Over sold more than 93,000 copies a day in the UK alone.

01:24Australian singer Paul Kelly recalled a special dinner at his home with his young daughters.
01:29I mentioned to Judith that their favourite song was Morning Town Ride.
01:33So she went upstairs to their room and sang it to the two lucky girls.
01:37But along with so much success the beloved singer suffered a lot of pain.
01:42Losing her soul mate Ron Edgeworth to MND in 1994
01:47she later became a fierce campaigner for the cause.
01:51Also overcoming a brain hemorrhage and battling a serious lung condition for most of her career.
01:57Quite often the boys and I would hear her in her dressing room coughing her heart out
02:03a few minutes before a show and thinking to ourselves
02:07there's no way she's going to sing tonight wrong.
02:11Together on stage at Hamer Hall, a place so dear to The Seekers
02:15her band mates released a final song to honour the incredible gift Judith Durham gave to us all.
