00:00I think we've got just over 30 in the shelter at the moment then we've got about another 15 on foster
00:07and then I think our waiting list is still about 55 long, 55 forms so that's application forms
00:13that could be more than one cat though. Over the last year especially the cost of living crisis
00:18has really affected a lot of people and rescues I guess it's affected everybody really.
00:24Food, litter, debt bills that kind of thing can all add up and a lot of people have been struggling
00:29to keep up with those costs so where we can we've been trying to help with that.
00:35It's just really important for us that the message of neutering, microchipping,
00:40good cat welfare really, good animal welfare is being spread and just trying to encourage people
00:48to neuter their animals and to seek out help if they're struggling to neuter their animals as
00:52well and because help is out there you just need to ask for it and that's you know that's what
00:57we're here for we want to want to help as many people as we can as many cats as we can as well
01:01and hopefully spreading that message will mean that more people will have their cats neutered
01:08which hopefully in the long run will mean that less cats are having to come through rescue
01:12because less are being born unexpectedly. Of course it's always helpful to us if people can
01:18donate a little bit of money or a little bit of food, anything cat related, anything their
01:24cats don't use that will always be very gratefully received here. Thank you very much.
