00:00The Agriculture Department will also vaccinate the pigs in some places in the country affected by the so-called disease.

00:09The agency is also hastening the study on the entry of another brand of the ASF vaccine.

00:20The Department of Agriculture will hold a controlled vaccination trial against African Swine Fever

00:27from Lobo, Batangas, where the first batch of the vaccination trial was made.

00:33The target of the DA is also the pigs in the Red Zone in La Union, Quezon, and Mindoro.

00:40The pigs in North Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, and Cebu will also be vaccinated.

00:45150,000 doses of vaccine will be administered from Vietnam to the affected areas.

00:52According to Agriculture Secretary Francisco Q. Laurel Jr.,

00:56the purpose of the controlled vaccination program is to protect the pigs

01:01so that the supply can increase and the price can be lowered in the market.

01:50We will make it easier for them to get vaccinated just in case they get infected.

01:55They are making two vaccines, one for breeders and one for growers.
