00:46:55It took a long way to get there, but I think we made our point.

01:06:55had just then, right in the corner.

01:06:57You saw Martel come in very, very rapidly

01:07:00but you also saw Valentine move just a shade quicker.

01:07:04Really stretched out the model's hamstring there.

01:07:07That can result, I would imagine, Lord Alfred Hayes,

01:07:09in a serious pull.

01:07:12A muscle tear.

01:07:14And that will even account for worse.

01:07:17The knee is not supposed to bend that way.

01:07:19It certainly isn't, and you're right about the tendons.

01:07:22Being pulled there, they're not very stretchable really.

01:07:27Much as though the Hammer was going to attempt

01:07:29to lock in the Figure Four.

01:08:44And this is just sheer anger on the part of the model, Rick Martel.

01:08:53In this case, it worked in his favor.

01:08:56I think a little frustration was beginning to show there on the model.

01:09:01If you have mentioned on occasion, Valentine over the second rope,

01:09:05that anger can be a great disadvantage.

01:09:08It certainly can.

01:09:10It causes you to throw caution to the wind.

01:09:13It leaves you open for all sorts of counterattacks.

01:09:17However, in this particular instant,

01:09:19the model has been able to control that obvious anger

01:09:22and use it to his own advantage.

01:09:25Valentine struggles to get back into the ring.

01:09:28The model, perhaps taking a lesson from Greg Valentine, uses a hammer.

01:09:33Good elbow to the back.

01:09:36And he's quickly turned the tables on Valentine here.

01:09:40The model now in full cry of his adversary.

01:09:49Splits the back of Valentine.

01:09:53And he is hurting at this point.

01:09:57but you can never really say that's for sure with Valentine.

01:11:59Ladies and gentlemen, the referee's official decision.

01:12:02He's counted both men outside of the ring.

01:12:08The model Rick Martel keeps up the fight.

01:12:13And it's Valentine who goes into the ring post.

01:16:25He really has become a tremendous wrestler.

01:16:28Coco's now blinded the Warlord.

01:18:01several more feet above his body,

01:18:03and he went all the way down to the concrete floor.

01:18:05It must have shaken him right to the roots.

01:18:14he was clear by about three feet at the top rope.

01:28:13And now he's pressing home his attack on the outside of the ring.

01:28:26And the battle continues.

01:28:58And Heart Foundation must be wondering at this particular moment

01:29:01how they're going to stymie this tremendous attack

01:29:05Very, very physical indeed.

01:29:09Red Heart slips in a shot to the kidneys.

01:29:15And I think that the Heart Foundation has realized

01:29:18that they're going to have to use every tactic

01:29:23in their vast vocabulary of wrestling moves.

01:29:27Yes, some not even in the book.

01:29:33And now Hawk's head over the second rope.

01:29:36I don't see video cameras capture that close look of a falling Hawk.

01:29:42And now a little outside of the ring,

01:29:45a retaliation by the hitman for what he was subjected to

01:29:53Hitman just explained to the referee he was just giving him a hand.

01:30:49Doesn't matter where he is, he will launch an assault.

01:30:53And Nightheart frees the hitman from his adversary.

01:31:00Surely some of that power that Hawk possesses must be waning now.

01:31:04It must be gradually ebbing from him after this concentrated attack

01:31:08that's been waged against him by the Heart Foundation.

01:31:22The hitman drives a boot into the midsection,

01:31:24and Hawk looks as though he is weakening a bit, your Lordship.

01:31:29I believe he's beginning to show the signs of wear.

01:33:25Continues to pull back.

01:33:27Referee checking to see if it's a chokehold,

01:33:30but he's not near the throat.

01:33:32So he's going to allow it.

01:33:35Sean, this Coliseum exclusive tag team contest is really turning out to be

01:33:40everything we expected it to.

01:33:42Indeed.

01:33:43A titanic struggle between two great, great teams.

01:33:47There is no blemish on the record as a tag team of Legion of Doom,

01:33:51but I'm afraid that could be history here tonight.

01:33:55So far, Your Lordship, I would say this one is dead even.

01:34:01It's gone back and forth, and at this point,

01:34:04Heart Foundation remaining in control.

01:34:09Talk about a bold move on the part of the hitman.

01:34:12He came all the way over to the Legion of Doom's corner

01:34:16and drove a boot right into the stomach of Animal.

01:34:21And I do believe that was a contrived effort on their part

01:34:25to take the referee's attention away.

01:34:27Ref to hitman Heart flying across with a clothesline.

01:34:30And Neidhart nearly gets a cover.

01:34:33And saved just in the nick of time there by Animal coming in.

01:34:37And Animal is going to have to do that again and again

01:34:39if they wish to survive this particular match.

01:34:43What an atomic drop, and that last cover was so close.

01:34:49It looked as though they had him.

01:34:51That patented move.

01:34:54Hawk set up, Jim the Anvil Neidhart holding him

01:34:58as the hitman came flying across with a clothesline.

01:35:02That just shows just how tough Hawk is.

01:35:05It really does, but he seems to be completely defenseless

01:35:08against this attack now by the hitman.

01:35:10He cannot even lift those massive arms to protect himself.

01:35:14I don't believe I've ever seen either one,

01:35:17either Hawk or Animal, in this kind of trouble before.

01:35:21No, they certainly are in a predicament.

01:35:24And Animal cannot stand it once again.

01:35:26Distracting the referee. Watch out.

01:35:28There's a slingshot.

01:35:30This time the hitman set in.

01:35:32Hawk slips out of the way.

01:35:35And now both members of the Heart Foundation down.

01:35:39But Hawk has got to make the tag.

01:35:41He has not got much left.

01:35:43Here comes Animal.

01:35:46He's had a lot of time to save up for this.

01:35:50And Animal, a tremendous effort here,

01:35:53taking the measure of both men,

01:35:55the Anvil and the hitman.

01:35:57He's really tearing into them.

01:35:59Remember, he's extremely fresh,

01:36:01whereas the elephants are a little jaded.

01:36:03Now, what a clash.

01:36:05He's set out of the ring.

01:36:06The hitman all alone.

01:36:10And Animal is determined to extract revenge.

01:36:14Hawk comes in.

01:36:16Slingshot, this time a clothesline.

01:36:19Drills the hitman.

01:36:23And it seems as if they've picked up the hitman deliberately here.

01:36:27They've efficiently eradicated Anvil,

01:36:30but not completely. Look at that.

01:36:34Got him up there for that patented move off the top rope.

01:36:38Nightheart was not going to allow it.

01:36:41And it has gone wild again between these two superstars,

01:36:44Animal and the hitman.

01:36:46And what a heads-up alert move that was on the part of the Anvil, Sean.

01:36:50Saved him in the nick of time. Look at this move.

01:36:57So beautifully executed by Heart Foundation.

01:37:01And now once again, Legion of Doom in a tremendous amount of trouble.

01:37:05They could be due to lose that unblemished record.

01:39:18One thing they've got to do here in a singles match,

01:39:20they've got to pace themselves.

01:39:22There's no getting on the outside, holding the tag ropes

01:39:25and having a little respite for two or three minutes.

01:39:28You've got to be in there the whole time.

01:39:30And one of the most important keys to success in a singles match

01:39:34is being able to pace yourself correctly.

01:39:37Tanaka quickly displaying that superior martial arts skill.

01:39:43Jannetty may have a slight edge in size,

01:39:45but when it comes to skill, dead even.

01:39:49Tanaka is a very, very efficient young wrestler.

01:39:52He knows exactly how to position himself inside the ring.

01:39:56Geographically, he's always correct with his moves.

01:39:59He's aware of his opponent at all times.

01:40:02What a match this is going to be.

01:40:04Jannetty over the top.

01:40:05Twice.

01:40:06Then tag.

01:40:09And the crowd clearly behind him here at Madison Square Garden.

01:40:13Tremendous moves there by Jannetty.

01:41:35A delayed tackle there gave Tanaka a sort of a,

01:41:41He jumped high and caught one right...

01:41:44Over the top rope flying, Jannetty just drilled Tanaka at ringside.

01:41:51And that just goes to show you, you cannot take your eyes off

01:41:54either one of the rockers, whether you're in the ring or out.

01:41:59Actually, good tactics by Jannetty.

01:42:01He's not giving Tanaka time to think at all.

01:42:04Tanaka looking for a little respite, not getting it.

01:42:07Now he's getting back into the ring.

01:42:09He's got to try and master everything now to get back on top.

01:42:13He did have the initial advantage, he's lost it.

01:42:19And Jannetty keeping a close eye on Mr. Fuji.

01:42:22Not to mention his opponents, Tanaka.

01:42:26It's almost like being prepared for tag team action, Lord Alfred Hayes.

01:42:32his tag team partner down with him.

01:42:38Perhaps they are staying in the locker room area,

01:42:42just in case there's trouble.

01:42:44They may have received instruction from the officials here

01:42:48that neither individual could come to ringside.

01:42:50Well, I think that is probably what took place.

01:42:55Obviously, they know what they're doing there.

01:43:02That is one brave individual with the devious one standing there

01:43:05with a cane in his hand.

01:43:07Tanaka has work across the ring trying to get the turnbuckle free.

01:43:14I don't know whether he accomplished that task or not.

01:43:18It will be interesting to find out if he did.

01:43:22Once again, the two superstars cautious.

01:43:32and they both tore at each other hammer and tongs.

01:43:35It slowed down a little bit now because they haven't been able

01:43:38to pace themselves efficiently in a one-on-one contest.

01:43:43Really baiting Marty Jannetty.

01:43:46He's just standing there.

01:43:48And now the rocker erupts.

01:43:51Tanaka into the ropes.

01:43:56Tanaka slammed to the canvas.

01:44:02And Jannetty now showing his skill.

01:44:14He really is in fine physical form

01:44:17every time he steps into the ring.

01:44:21Tanaka uses a leverage there to slip out

01:44:24and send Jannetty into the ropes.

01:44:28Gives him a slight advantage here as he turns it around.

01:44:35It could be only momentarily, though, which it was.

01:44:41Jannetty comes flying in with a body tackle.

01:44:44Tanaka slips out of the way.

01:44:46And Jannetty hit the ring post

01:44:49before bounding onto the arena floor.

01:44:52Yes, it looked like he hit that steel post

01:44:55on the outside with the pit of his stomach.

01:44:57And this could be the end of Jannetty.

01:45:00He seems to be very, very slow indeed.

01:45:03And the count is being kept up by the referee.

01:45:06However, his tension has been taken away by Jannetty.

01:45:16The referee should be keeping an eye on the devious one.

01:45:19Yes, that was a bad tactical mistake there by Tanaka.

01:45:22He should have stayed well away in a neutral corner.

01:45:25It caused the referee to stop his count.

01:46:53Tanaka alertly gets the foot up on the bottom rope.

01:47:00A very dangerous and risky move there by Tanaka.

01:47:03The referee may not have had his attention on that.
