00:29to 3.3% from 4.4% last July.

00:35Due to the reduction of rice prices,

00:37the rice inflation decreased to 14.7% from 20.9%

00:43and the meat inflation decreased to 4.0%.

00:47Because of this, the Executive Board decided

00:49that the government will further expand the Katiwa Program

00:53to other places in the country to ensure that people can afford to buy.

00:57He will also ensure that there is a sufficient supply of pork

01:00following the rollout of the vaccination against ASF

01:03which he is also responsible for

01:05to avoid the increase in the price of pork.

01:08The Executive Board also decided

01:10the government's plan for a lower price of gasoline.

01:36that the price of rice will continue to fall in the coming months

01:40following the alleged decrease of the Philippine Statistics Authority

01:43in the rise in inflation this August.

01:46According to the DA, there is still a chance

01:48that there will be a 10% decrease in the price of rice

01:51which will lead to a lower overall inflation rate in the country.

01:54In October, it is said that the effect of Executive Order No. 62

01:59will be more noticeable, which will reduce the price of rice.

02:02A single digit increase is good.

02:04We can see that after RTL, after a year,

02:09there was a big stability in inflation because of rice.

02:14It was only 2-4%.

02:17So, hopefully, we can reach that level again in the near future.

02:22Because of rice, the overall food inflation is about 25%.

02:28So, if the price of rice goes down,

02:31the food inflation will go down

02:34and it will have a big effect on the overall inflation numbers.
