00:00Influenza-like illness cases in the country rose from late July to early August.
00:05Based on Department of Health or DOH's latest data, from July 28 to August 10, there were 9,491 cases,
00:14a 55 percent increase from the cases reported from July 14 to July 27.
00:20From August 11 to 24, there were 5,006 cases reported, with potential late reports coming in.
00:27All regions except Burma saw an increase in cases.
00:31And so far this year, there have been 102,216 flu-like cases, 18 percent lower than last year.
00:40Symptoms include fever, cough, sore throat, colds, body aches and headaches.
00:46The DOH is procuring more flu vaccines and advises caution against diseases common during rainy season,
00:53including water and food-borne diseases, leptospirosis and dengue.
