00:00Breaking news in the region, in celebration of the 115th Charter Anniversary of Baguio City,

00:05there are many studies about the changes and development of the city that can be learned from the photo exhibit and book in the Baguio Museum.

00:13Let's take a look at the report of PTV Cordillera's Ala Sung Duan.

00:19Did you know that the Baguio Museum is located in Governor Pack Road?

00:25This is because it is located right in front of Baguio City Hall.

00:29It can be seen in the scale models made by the architecture students in Baguio and funded by the NCCA.

00:36The Baguio Museum is the only museum that has the history of Baguio from the early beginnings to the present.

00:44But it's mostly in photographs.

00:46So we have old, old exhibits.

00:48When we were doing the rehabilitation, we tried to recycle the materials that we have.

00:56This museum covers seven themes.

01:00The Mayors of the Century, Baguio as a Melting Pot, Baguio Then and Now, and Baguio from a Health Resort to the City of Pines.

01:10There is also the Baguio Mini History, Baguio Development in Scale Models, and the Surrender of Yamashita in Baguio during World War II.

01:19It was built with the help of the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines,

01:22which gave a cultural preservation grant of 6.5 million pesos for the rehabilitation.

01:3350 Wong is a book published by the artist headed by Kawayan De Guia.

01:41So they have several editors and several contributions.

01:45It's a long list of contributors and it's arranged alphabetically.

01:50So there are 13 stories that go with it.

01:53The lasting cultural identity of Baguio is what the officials in the locality

01:59emphasized in holding the 115th Baguio City Charter Anniversary last week.
