00:42was not as severe as what happened in Baguio, Manila

00:49because of the 24x7 operation of our pumping stations

00:54throughout Metro Manila.

00:57Sir, what roads or areas in Metro Manila

01:14the main areas were Las Piñas, Paranaque, and Montilupa.

01:26Sir, from the flood control projects of the government,

01:31what assistance did you see from the impact of the storm Enteng

01:36compared to the past storms?

01:42First of all, the rainfall intensity of Enteng

01:47was lower compared to Carina.

01:50That's why in Typhoon Carina,

01:53the rainfall was more compared to Enteng,

01:56which is just a few places.

01:59Our pumping stations,

02:02because of the 24x7 operation,

02:07that's why the subsidence of water was not eased.

02:33because of the low rainfall here in Metro Manila.

02:37Those are the big projects that the government should fund.

02:42And the DPWH is doing this.

02:52maybe the water will be reduced in Metro Manila.

03:02What measures or steps are you taking

03:05to make these flood control projects more effective

03:09during the rainy season?

03:12In MND, under the flood control and sewerage management office,

03:19we regularly conduct maintenance of the waterways

03:24such as dredging, desalting, and cleaning the waterways.

03:32The same goes for the 24x7 maintenance of the waterways

03:39during the rainy season.

03:44Sir, when do you expect our countrymen in Metro Manila

03:48to feel the effectiveness of these flood control projects?

03:51And what is the update on these projects

03:55and when will it end?

03:58Maybe people will feel this project

04:03when the 50-year flood control master plan

04:09that MND is currently working on is completed.

04:11Both the DPWH and LGUs are involved in this.

04:51During the storm Enteng,

04:55since September 1,

04:58we were able to collect 105 truckloads of garbage.

05:03Here in Dolomite,

05:05we were able to collect 45 cubic meters

05:09or one truckload.

05:13Until now,

05:15we are still collecting garbage in Dolomite

05:18because the storm Enteng continues to bring garbage

05:23to Dolomite.

05:26Sir, what is the role of the MMDA

05:29to encourage our countrymen

05:31to properly dispose of garbage
