00:00Historic victory of a Philippine Science High School student from Mindanao, who won the Gintong Medal.
00:08History Scientist Mohamed Nur Kasib of PSHS Central Mindanao Campus,
00:14was the first Filipino to win the Gintong Medal
00:19in the prestigious International Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad held in Brazil.
00:25This was his second medal in the competition.
00:29After winning the silver medal last year.
00:32In addition to this year, Kasib became the Nuclear Science Ambassador
00:37in the International Nuclear Science Olympiad
00:40and another gold medal in the 2024 Asian Pacific Mathematics Olympiad.
00:46In a comment post,
00:48the 17-year-old Olympian thanked his family, friends, and everyone
00:53who became part of his historic victory.
00:56Aside from Kasib, Sean Ken Galanza won the bronze medal
01:01and honorable mention, Yana Lorraine Tenorio, a fellow from PSHS Main Campus.
