00:00The Cordillera region is now on a blue alert in the face of the expected upheaval of heavy rain and typhoons.

00:06Authorities are particularly concerned about the barangays that may be hit by landslides and floods.

00:21Since this morning, the weather has been gloomy and it has been raining heavily in Baguio City

00:28and the Cordillera region has been hit by heavy rain and typhoons that have affected a large part of the country.

00:37According to the forecast, the rain will bring moderate rains in some parts of the Cordillera region

00:44that may cause landslides and floods.

00:47The best thing to do is to prepare and avoid landslides especially in landslide prone areas.

00:55Let's be ready especially now that we are being watched by typhoons.

00:59The Cordillera-RDRRMC is now on a blue alert in the face of a tropical storm and typhoon.

01:06According to the Mines and Geosciences Bureau, 196 barangays in the province of Abra,

01:139 in Benguet including Baguio, 130 in Ifugao, and 14 in Mountain Province are prone to landslides and flooding.

01:22Meanwhile, the Department of Social and Welfare and Development Cordillera is ready to provide immediate assistance

01:28to those who may be affected by the typhoon.

01:31According to the agency, more than 56,000 family food packs and more than 24,000 non-food items are pre-positioned in various places.

01:43Their standby fund will reach P3 million.

01:47The DSWD reminded local government units to monitor the communities in need

01:54to speed up disaster response and management.
