00:00Over the hill, many years ago, Glyn, the coffee pot engine, used to look after Thomas's branch line.
00:13But even before Thomas came along, the old engine had been moved from siding to siding and forgotten about.
00:22Until one day, just before Christmas...
00:26It is season two, rejoin me, fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la!
00:30Hey, be careful, you nearly hit me!
00:34Glyn was rediscovered, and the Earl of Sodor arranged for Glyn to be restored, and brought him to work with Stephen up at Ulfstead Castle.
00:46Come on, Stephen! It's a lovely morning!
00:51Is it? Already?
00:57Ho-ho, you're up early, Glyn! Why don't I give you a proper guided tour while the castle's closed to the public?
01:09Hey, wait for me!
01:12It certainly is a pleasure to have you here at the castle, Glyn! You really are a marvellous engine!
01:26Thank you, sir!
01:28Bonjour, Stephen! Isn't it a beautiful morning?
01:32So everyone keeps saying, really.
01:36But of course, that was long before I started expanding my estate!
01:44And what an estate it is, eh, sir? I always help my visitors!
01:49Of course! I'm not finished expanding yet, and you, Glyn, are a major part of my plans for the future!
01:58Before Glyn had arrived, Stephen had felt like the king of the castle, but now he felt like he had lost his crown.
02:08Up next, the Dino Park! Have you ever seen a dinosaur, Glyn?
02:14I can't say I have! I'm not as old as you, Stephen! I mean, you have got more expedience than me!
02:23I was one of the first engines ever built, and most of those built after me used my design, while you teapots quickly went out of use!
02:35I think you'll find Glyn and the other coffee pots had very long and productive working lives, Stephen!
02:42Ho-ho! Look how fast I am, Glyn! Ho-ho! Yow! This is why they called me the Rocket!
02:56Huh?
03:01Oh!
03:02Oh!
03:09Ah! The old mines! I remember the day I found King Godred's long-lost crown down there!
03:18And I remember how you got trapped and had to be rescued, Stephen!
03:22Oh, yes.
03:25Stephen was starting to wonder whether the Earl liked Glyn better than him.
03:33Thank you, Glyn! Enjoy the rest of the holiday! I've got something special planned when we reopen in the new year!
03:43I wonder what he means, Millie!
03:46I think the Earl is finally opening a railway museum!
03:50Great idea! I'll do the tours! You can do the tasting coffees, Glyn!
03:55Perhaps it will be Glyn doing the tours, Stephen, while you become an exhibit in the museum!
04:01You are the world-famous Rocket, after all!
04:05I suppose even an old teapot like you knows how I got that name, Glyn!
04:12I beat four other engines at the Rain Hill Trials!
04:17I know! It's no wonder you're such a celebrity, Stephen! The Rain Hill Trials are legendary!
04:24What? Oh!
04:27Are you okay?
04:28Of course I'm okay! I'm the Rocket!
04:31But this castle isn't big enough for the both of us, Glyn! It's time to find out just how fast you really are!
04:39Nowhere near as fast as you, I'm sure!
04:43Well, let's find out!
04:45First one to Knapford wins and works at the castle!
04:49The loser becomes an exhibit in the Earl's Railway Museum!
04:53I don't think the Earl or the Fat Controller will like that!
04:57Oh! Are you scared?
05:11Right then! Let's see if you can keep up with me!
05:17Ready? Steady?
05:28Hmm... I think I need to find the Earl!
05:34Because Glyn and Stephen were both slow engines on a single track, Stephen couldn't speed ahead and Glyn couldn't overtake him!
05:44Oh, it was much quieter on the tracks in my day! Yours too, I'm sure!
05:49Anyways, I'm not a great fan of rushing about!
05:53Haha! You just wish you were as fast as me!
05:56That's right!
06:00Finally, they made it onto the mainland and went onto two separate tracks!
06:06But they were still travelling at exactly the same slow speed!
06:12Of course, people take railways for granted these days!
06:16Of course, people take railways for granted these days!
06:19They don't realise how much rail travel has opened up the world!
06:24Express coming through!
06:27Come on, old timers! Some of us have got work to do!
06:32Stephen! Get out of my way! Show some respect for your elders!
06:37Sorry, Gordon! We're racing!
06:40Ha! You call that racing?
06:43I was winning races before you were even a sketch on a drawing board, young Gordon!
06:50Good one, Stephen! Would you like a cup of tea with that, young Gordon?
06:59Before long, everyone had heard about Stephen and Glyn's race and wanted to see it for themselves!
07:07Hello, hello! Make way for the rocket!
07:11This is my friend Glyn! He's a coffee pot engine!
07:16Hello!
07:19Thank you!
07:20Oh, thank you!
07:24Well, you two have certainly caused more confusion and delay than I've seen for many years!
07:31And I don't usually approve of racing, especially on the mainline!
07:36Oh, dear! I'm sorry, sir! This is all my fault!
07:40No, no! It's mine, Glyn!
07:44Actually, I think I'm partly to blame! Milly explained everything!
07:50But I'm glad to see you two have finally made friends!
07:54Did anyone actually win the race?
07:57No, sir! We came in together!
07:59Oh, that's marvellous!
08:02Especially since you'll be working together at the castle!
08:08Together? But I thought...
08:11I am going to open a railway museum, Stephen!
08:15And my star attraction will be both of you!
08:20Oh, that's fantastic!
08:21How marvellous!
08:23I agree with Sir Topham about not racing on the mainline,
08:27but if we were to hold a race elsewhere,
08:31perhaps we could have a classic engine race every year!
