00:00Welcome to this special edition of Hannity. I'm Jason Chaffetz, in for Sean.
00:05In just a moment, we'll get full reaction and analysis to Kamala's disastrous interview on CNN.
00:11But first, we'll take you live to the annual gathering of Moms for Liberty,
00:16where former President Trump is speaking. Let's listen in for a moment.
00:23I've heard you talk about your mom in interviews before. She was obviously a very strong woman.
00:28Was she hard on you with school? Tell us about your mom a little bit.
00:32No, she wasn't. She was great. I had a great mother, great father, very different people.
00:36My mother came from Scotland and she came over to this country.
00:41Are there people from Scotland? You know, actually, that's hidden.
00:45Do you know that some of the biggest, smartest, most brilliant leaders in business come from Scotland and nobody knows it?
00:55Or at least, you know, their parents came from Scotland. But Scotland, Scotland did very well in this country.
01:02I'll tell you, it's very true. We have people. And I know that one group, the very successful group.
01:08Now, she came from Scotland. Great place. And she came over just for the summer.
01:14And she was 19, I guess. And she met my father and they had a very long marriage.
01:21I said, I'll never top you on that, Pop. You know, you always want to be a little bit better than your father if you can a little more.
01:27And my father loved that. You know, some fathers don't like it when you have a father that doesn't want his son to be a success.
01:34So you've got a problem with a father. But there are plenty of them. I've seen plenty of them.
01:38They make it actually hard for the son. But no, I had the opposite. I had a father that loved what was happening.
01:44But they met. They fell in love. They got married and they were married for six and a half decades.
01:52Wow. A long time. I said, Pop, I'm not going to be able to beat you with that.
01:59But anyway, they had just a great marriage. Very different people. But they had a great marriage.
02:04Very, very strong marriage. So I want to talk to you a little bit about the apprentice.
02:10We talk a lot at Moms for Liberty that we're in the middle of a cultural revolution in America.
02:15People like to be dismissive and say it's a culture war.
02:18But that's former President Trump at the annual Moms for Liberty gathering.
02:22And we'll go back to his remarks in a few minutes. But now we turn to our attention to Trump's opponent.
02:29Tonight, Kamala's first and only sit down interview of the entire presidential campaign is now in the books.
02:36But most Americans still have more questions than answers.
02:39Per usual, most of Kamala's responses were filled with rambling, meaningless platitudes.
02:45But the vice president did make one thing clear. Her values have not changed. Watch.
02:52Let's be clear. My values have not changed.
02:55I believe it is very important that we take seriously what we must do to guard against what is a clear crisis in terms of the climate.
03:05Dan, I think the most important and most significant aspect of my policy perspective and decisions is my values have not changed.
03:15My values have not changed. So that is the reality of it. And four years of being vice president.
03:22We've been warned that for decades, Kamala's values have been radical and extreme.
03:28But don't take my word for it. Take a look at this.
03:33How's the state going to be better if you're the attorney general and not Mr. Cooley?
03:38Well, I know that I read that at the Republican Convention, he called me a radical.
03:43So I guess that's one difference between us. And I am radical.
03:49I do believe that we need to get radical about what we are doing and take it seriously.
03:55Not long ago, Kamala called for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, ICE, to be abolished.
04:01She called for illegal immigration to be decriminalized.
04:05She referred to Trump's border wall as a medieval vanity project.
04:09She supported defunding the police. She co-sponsored the socialist Green New Deal.
04:15She called for an end to fossil fuels. She supported the electrical vehicle mandate.
04:20She co-sponsored Medicare for All and promised to ban private health insurance.
04:26She wanted to end cash bail and even promoted a bail fund to get violent offenders out of jail in 2020.
04:34She also proposed a mandatory federal gun confiscation program.
04:39She promised to ban plastic straws and reduce red meat consumption.
04:44And she even once proclaimed that there is, quote, no question that she supports a ban on fracking and offshore drilling.
04:53Last night, here's what she said about her recent plan to ban fracking. Watch.
04:58When you were in Congress, you supported the Green New Deal.
05:02And in 2019, you said, quote, there is no question I'm in favor of banning fracking.
05:08Fracking, as you know, is a pretty big issue, particularly in your must win state of Pennsylvania.
05:13Do you still want to ban fracking? No.
05:16And I made that clear on the debate stage in 2020 that I would not ban fracking as vice president.
05:23I did not ban fracking as president. I will not ban fracking.
05:30One problem in 2020, Kamala was not clear about her position on fracking.
05:35She said, quote, the American people know that Joe Biden will not ban fracking.
05:41That was her quote on it. That's her quote. Joe Biden, not Kamala Harris.
05:46But remember, if you have any doubt where Kamala stands on an issue, just remember that her values as a far left California politician, they have not changed.
05:56Here's a there's a reason why Kamala Harris was rated the most far left senator in all of Congress.
06:03Here's how both Trump and Vance reacted to the interview earlier today.
06:07Have a look. We're going to win Pennsylvania. We're going to defeat Comrade Kamala Harris.
06:14Did you see her? Did you see her last night? Did you see her last night?
06:20I don't know. You think she's going to be able to handle President Xi?
06:25I don't know. I don't think so. China, North Korea, Russia.
06:30I don't know. But we're going to win back the White House.
06:34We're going to make this country greater than it's ever been. I think it's important for us not to buy this.
06:39If you look at the way that Kamala Harris is governed, she's actually governed as a far left person.
06:44She's just trying to pretend that she's not far left now because, of course, she wants to win the American people's votes over the next couple of months.
06:50But if she does, she's going to do the same thing that she's been doing for the last few years.
06:54She's going to try to make it harder to get American energy from American territory.
06:59She's going to make it harder for us to drive down the cost of everything from food to housing.
07:03She's going to make it harder for us to enforce our border laws.
07:06And she's going to make more chaos and more instability around the world.
07:13Here now with reaction, one of our favorites, Louisiana Senator John Kennedy.
07:18Senator, thanks so much for joining us on Hannity. Are you buying it?
07:21The people of Louisiana, pretty important energy state. The people of Louisiana buying what she's selling.
07:30Well, Jason, I listen to the vice president's interview. I'm biased, I suppose, because I know her well.
07:40She's a nice person. I just don't agree with her. I had two reactions to her interview.
07:47Unsurprised. Unimpressed. I'm a pretty simple guy.
07:54I like breakfast food and straight answers. I didn't hear any straight answers from the vice president.
08:01What I heard her say basically was, I do, too, have values. And if you don't like them, I have others.
08:11I thought she engaged in in tier one level pandering.
08:18It was sort of like a wolf promising to be a vegan if the if the sheep will just vote for it.
08:28Now, look, in politics, as in life, and you know this, Jason, talk is cheap.
08:35What you do is what you believe. What you do is what you believe. And everything else is just cottage cheese.
08:44As I said, I know the vice president well. I've served with her for seven and a half years.
08:51I know what she will do as president. She is a San Francisco Democrat.
08:58She is a card carrying member of the loon wing of the Democratic Party.
09:06Well, Republicans are not perfect, but the loon wing of the Democratic Party is crazy.
09:14I described Ms. Harris as AOC without the bartending experience.
09:21And I think that's accurate. That's how she'll govern. And I'll be glad to talk about specifics in her record.
09:29She has one. But you did a pretty good job of it yourself there.
09:34Well, let's talk a little bit more about energy, because it's an issue all around the country.
09:39It's one of the top issues for for Donald Trump in putting this country back on the right track.
09:45She says that she was never opposed to fracking.
09:49I mean, I'm so confused by what she's saying, as if there's no videotape to show exactly what she said on fracking and energy.
09:59You saw her. She cast the deciding vote on many of these issues right there in the Senate.
10:07Well, I watched the vice president cast the tie breaking vote in favor, for example, of the Inflation Reduction Act, which was which is just the Green New Deal.
10:22I think most Americans are all of the above energy type people.
10:28They are for everything. I think yet fossil fuels are going to be part of our of our energy,
10:37satisfying our energy needs for for a long, long time, probably forever.
10:42Doesn't mean we shouldn't pursue others.
10:44The problem is that the part of the Democratic Party that Miss Miss Harris is from, they don't believe in fossil fuels.
10:52They just don't. They believe winds and wind, solar and wishful thinking.
10:59Yeah, I really do wish somebody would ask the vice president to define inflation because I'm fairly convinced she doesn't know what inflation is, let alone how to solve it.
11:10And she acts as if they haven't been in a position to deal with it and that she'll get around to it if she's elected sometime in January.
11:19Well, Miss Harris helped create the worst inflation in 40 years in America.
11:25When she and President Biden took over in 2021, a house that cost three hundred and four thousand dollars cost four hundred and twenty three thousand dollars today.
11:39Her plan to try to lower prices looks like it was put together with vodka and darts.
11:46She wants price controls. She wants to raise the top federal income tax bracket.
11:53She wants to tax unrealized capital gains. It will make higher prices even higher.
12:00It will cause a lot of people to lose their jobs and others to see their wages lowered at a time when they when they need that income.
12:10I don't know where she came up with her plan, but I know what the the result will be.
12:19And Bidenomics to me is very simple. As I've as I've as I've said before, Bidenomics is easy.
12:25It's defining. It's easy. It's paying more to live worse.
12:30Yeah, great. Senator Kennedy, we always appreciate your perspective.
12:35Thanks for joining us on this Friday night. Do appreciate it.
12:38All right. A quick pro programming note.
12:41Sean Hannity will be in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania next Wednesday for an exclusive town hall with former President Trump.
12:49You can go over to Hannity dot com Hannity dot com to find out how you can get your free tickets.
12:56Now, to a giant inconvenient truth for Kamala Harris.
12:59She played a critical role in the Biden Harris administration, which most Americans view as an abject failure.
13:06According to Real Clear Politics Average, the vast majority of Americans, more than sixty three percent,
13:14believe our country is headed in the wrong direction.
13:18Joining us now with analysis is Restoring America editor for The Washington Examiner,
13:23Kaylee McGee White, along with Fox News contributor Joe Concha.
13:28Thanks so much both for joining us. Kaylee, Kaylee McGee,
13:32I want to go to you first here because the country knows it's on the wrong track and somehow,
13:38some way she wants to gaslight us into the idea that she's the fresh new person that's going to come along and make some changes.
13:45But she's been in the one in control. She was the number two person for the last nearly four years.
13:50And this is actually one of her failures from last night's interview with CNN.
13:55Jason is listen, it didn't go as poorly as Joe Biden's meltdown in his debate against Trump.
14:01But as far as we know, she doesn't have dementia. So I would hope that she'd be able to clear that very low bar.
14:07However, she failed to do two very important things last night.
14:10The first is she failed to distance herself from Biden, both personally and policy wise.
14:15As you mentioned, she got out there and said that she has no regrets about lying to the American public about Joe Biden's mental acuity.
14:22And when asked multiple times why she, as the number two in this administration,
14:27has not already taken action on the issues that voters care about most, she vomited up the usual word salad.
14:34And listen, I say this as someone with friends and family in some of these very critical swing states.
14:39This is going to be a problem among those voters for Kamala Harris.
14:42They care very much about distancing from the Biden administration's failed policies.
14:47And she has not done that. Joe, 63 percent know we're going in the wrong direction.
14:55I think that number might even be a little bit low, at least from the people I'm I've been talking with, with the issues that really matter.
15:02But she wants us to believe that, you know, she's made the tough decisions and she's a tough prosecutor.
15:09She'll enforce the border and and be great for energy.
15:13But you watch that interview. I saw what you wrote about it. Tell us what you think.
15:18Oh, Jason, it's as if Kamala Harris is trying to make Donald Trump the incumbent instead of the Biden Harris administration.
15:26That's been there for the last three and a half years. Like, boy, we have to turn the page.
15:30We really need change at this point. Change from your own administration.
15:34It's like telling an arsonist to put out the fire that they started.
15:37And what we learned last night about Kamala Harris is that she never says what she means and never means what she says.
15:43For example, Harris said that she is now not for banning fracking, as you just said earlier.
15:49And she claims she made that statement on a 2020 debate stage, which was laughably easy for anybody to fact check.
15:55For starters, she wasn't even a candidate in 2020.
15:58She dropped out before then and no one can find any proof that she supported fracking four years ago.
16:04And I guess she said this during the debate with Mike Pence when she was vice president in October of 2016.
16:11Again, look at the transcript. There is no mention of that whatsoever.
16:14She lied. And if you're in Pennsylvania right now, how do you feel about that exactly,
16:19that she says that she was for banning fracking and now she's not for banning fracking?
16:24That's a big issue, obviously, in that state.
16:26In fact, the Biden Harris administration on day one banned fracking on federal lands.
16:31Whoops. That's a big problem. But of course, Dana Bash, CNN, didn't bother to bring that up.
16:36And by the way, during a campaign event in 2019, Kamala Harris said, quote, I'm 100 percent against fracking.
16:43She is trying to dance through a thunderstorm without getting wet.
16:47The bottom line is that she is for decriminalizing border crossings.
16:50She wants to abolish private health insurance. She wants Evie mandates.
16:55Whoa. How do you feel about that in Michigan? She wants to ban fracking like we just said.
16:58She opposes more police. The bottom line is here and I'll leave it here.
17:01Jason, Nate Silver 538 says the winner of Pennsylvania has a 95 percent chance of winning this election.
17:08And she just really hurt herself last night with that statement where now she's proven to have lied about it.
17:14And she loses Pennsylvania. She does not win this election. That is certainly for sure.
17:18Jason, a real quick exit question for both of you.
17:23We've got a short amount of time. Start with you, Kaylee. Tim Walls was also sitting in on that interview.
17:29How did he come off? Did he was he did he add to the equation for Kamala Harris in that sit down?
17:35He did. He certainly did not help her. He came across as actually sleazier than Kamala did.
17:40The question that he was asked about why he made comments about serving on a battlefield and carrying weapons of war.
17:46And his excuse was that he has poor grammar. What kind of excuse is that?
17:50No one is buying that. It would be so much more respectable if he would just come out and admit that he lied about that
17:56and apologize to the service members that he offended when he lied about it.
18:01Joe, yeah, just bad grammar. I mean, consistent bad grammar and consistent bad grammar on.
18:08I don't know the challenge coin. Exactly.
18:12You owe bad grammar led you to lie about your rank.
18:15The fact that you left your unit when they were deployed into a war zone.
18:18That's bad grammar. People love authenticity.
18:22This guy comes across as a phony and it looked like a parent teacher conference there last night with that set.
18:28Tim Wallace there. Kamala Harris slouched over two feet below tin walls at that point.
18:34Just bad optics. And it was a net negative for both the vice president and her running mate.
18:39No question about it. Things change going forward after that disastrous debate.
18:44And I'm sorry. Interview last night. Not much of a debate. Certainly for sure.
18:48Jason. Yeah. Kaylee McGee White, Joe Concha, thank you for joining us.
18:54Coming up, Trump held a massive rally in Pennsylvania today where the race is neck and neck.
18:59The state's Senate candidate, Dave McCormick, he'll join us.
19:03Plus, Doug Schoen and Lisa Booth will be here to analyze all the latest polls as this special edition of Hannity rolls on.
19:12Welcome back to this special edition of Hannity.
19:15Pennsylvania may very well be the most important swing state of the entire election and it could decide the entire race.
19:24President Trump spent today in the Keystone State with multiple stops, including a huge rally in Johnstown.
19:31Have a look. And now she's changed everything.
19:34In fact, I think she is going to soon apply for could be an application for joining MAGA.
19:43She's going to be wearing a MAGA cap. Now, that's her.
19:46And she can't do anything about it because that's where she is with a politician.
19:50When they come out with something, that's where they end up. And she will destroy the great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
19:57Just remember that. And we should win a blowout.
20:01We should blow them out. You know, we win the state. We win the whole thing.
20:06And Trump will be back in Pennsylvania next week for an exclusive town hall with Sean Hannity and a live audience in Harrisburg.
20:13Head to Hannity.com to get your free tickets and join the show.
20:18The current real clear politics polling average shows Harris up by less than one point in Pennsylvania.
20:25And the most recent poll says the race is a tie.
20:28Pennsylvania will also help decide which party controls the United States Senate, a critical race.
20:34There is a very competitive race there between incumbent Democrat Bob Casey and Republican challenger Dave McCormick.
20:42A recent poll shows McCormick down just slightly by two points and Pennsylvania Senate candidate Dave McCormick.
20:49Well, he's with us right now. Dave McCormick, thanks so much for joining us on Hannity.
20:55Look, every poll, they're going to be up down by one point here, half a point there.
21:00From your vantage point, what's going to make the difference?
21:03Because this is going to continue to get the spotlight all the way through the finish line.
21:08Hey, Jason, how are you? Yeah, you're right. It's ground zero.
21:12And I was just got back from that rally with President Trump and it was electric, incredible energy in the room.
21:19And I think it's because Pennsylvanians realize that the future of the Commonwealth and the country really depend on what happens there.
21:25And it's a contest between strength and common sense policies and weakness and a radical liberal agenda.
21:33And what we have with Kamala Harris and Bob Casey is an agenda that's completely out of touch with Pennsylvanians.
21:41Banning fracking, giving amnesty to illegal immigrants, benefits to illegal immigrants, mandatory buybacks of your guns.
21:49These positions might work in San Francisco. They're completely out of touch with Pennsylvanians.
21:54So that's the path to victory is making sure Pennsylvanians know how big a choice this is.
21:59And they can have the the economic vitality and growth, the energy dominance, the secure borders of a Trump administration,
22:08which is what we experienced, or the calamity of sky high inflation, 4000 fentanyl deaths, crime in our cities
22:16and our adversaries around the world challenging us and testing us under Biden, Harris, Casey.
22:21That's the choice. And I think it's it's moving in the direction of of common sense and leadership and strength.
22:27And that's what we felt tonight at the at the rally.
22:31Very, very quickly, you saw the interview with Kamala Harris last night and Tim Walz.
22:36Any quick reaction to that? Yeah, I mean, listen, it wasn't an interview.
22:42I mean, this wasn't she wasn't pressed on any of the enormous contradictions.
22:46How could anyone possibly believe, you know, the beauty of this campaign?
22:49We don't have to run on what we say. We can we can show them what she said.
22:53And so I don't think that was an interview.
22:55I think that was essentially an opportunity for her to try to begin to waffle and change her positions.
23:00And Pennsylvanians aren't buying it. They know that this is a radical liberal.
23:04They know that that's the agenda. They know Bob Casey's a sure vote.
23:08Yeah, Bob Casey, he's a senator, been a senator for far too long.
23:14I can't think of anything that he's actually done to impact the nation and better Pennsylvania.
23:19I just I just can't. But David Cormack, one of the most critical Senate races that there is.
23:24I appreciate you joining us. Thanks for joining us tonight.
23:27All right. Former President Donald Trump is still speaking at the Moms for Liberty convention in Washington, D.C.
23:33Let's listen in for a bit where he's talking about his administration's right to try policy.
23:38He wants to come because, you know, they fly to Asia, they fly to Europe, they fly.
23:42If most of them didn't have money, they'd go home and they'd die. It was a hopeless situation.
23:46But if they had money, they'd go to Asia. They go to Europe. We have much better technology.
23:52And what happened is I got everybody in a room. I said, listen, there's not going to be any liability.
23:58People are going to sign a document that they're not going to sue the country.
24:01They're not going to sue the state. They're not going to sue the doctors or the medical platforms.
24:07They're not going to sue anybody. They just want the drug.
24:11And we have saved thousands and thousands of lives. It's amazing. It actually worked out differently.
24:17The drug companies now are liking it to a certain extent because it's the ultimate test.
24:21Somebody is terminally ill and all of a sudden they get better and it's happening with thousands.
24:26And I got that done. They've been trying for 60 years to get it done.
24:31And we got it done. They don't have to fly away. And it's really had the reverse.
24:36People were finding cures to things that when a terminally ill person, a person that's almost ready to die,
24:42goes in and starts taking something. And now all of a sudden that person gets better.
24:47It's an amazing thing. And we save thousands of lives. So we did it.
24:51We've done a lot of we've done a lot of things. A lot of.
24:56We'll talk about parental rights if we could for a little bit. We're a parental rights organization.
25:02What Donald Trump is talking about there at the Moms of Liberty conference is important.
25:06I can tell you, having had family members, you give them hope and the right to try when the other side of the equation is dying.
25:15It was one of the best things that President Trump did in his four years in office.
25:18And I hope we all look at that issue a little bit more.
25:22All right. Labor Day weekend is here, which means this summer travel season is coming to an end.
25:27And the homestretch of the presidential election is about to begin in just two weeks.
25:31Two weeks. The first ballots will start to be cast.
25:35So who is ahead nationwide? Polls show an extremely tight race.
25:40So let's bring in our own experts. The author of the new book, The Politics of Life,
25:45Democrat pollster Doug Schoen and Fox News contributor Lisa Booth.
25:51These are two of my favorites. You know what I love about Doug?
25:54Doug, you call it balls and strikes the way you see them.
25:57So after that interview last night and what happened, is that going to make a difference?
26:04Is that push people one direction or the other? Or does it lock them in a little bit more?
26:10I think it has no impact at all. This was a check the box interview for Kamala Harris.
26:16So she could say, yeah, no, I did an interview.
26:20To me, the real question in a race that is effectively tied and deadlocked is,
26:25can the Republicans and Donald Trump make the case that you've been making and others on Fox have been making
26:32that she has flip flop and she doesn't have consistent positions because what she did last night
26:38was say that she's a centrist moderate, which obviously goes against the record.
26:43But so far, the Republicans have not compellingly made that case.
26:47And hence, she is tied in both the swing states and nationally.
26:54Lisa, at least for me personally, when she says my principles have not changed, I'm the same person.
26:59I believe her. I just think that what she's spewing right now is a complete fabrication and lie
27:06and a deception of how liberal San Francisco oriented her her positions are.
27:12But what's your take on it? Well, she has no principles.
27:17But beyond that, what this race really comes down to, in my opinion,
27:22is that Donald Trump is ready to do this job and Kamala Harris is not.
27:27And why do we know that she's not ready to do this job?
27:29Because it took her thirty nine days to do a basic television interview,
27:34something that we're doing right now that politicians do on a daily basis.
27:39She turned this into a main event, a big event.
27:42She spoke for 16 minutes during that propaganda style interview that she had to have taped,
27:48that she had to have Tim Walz sitting next to her, a guy who wants to put tampons in the boy's bathroom.
27:53So she is not ready for this job. And this matters, Jason.
27:58It's a matter of life and death. And we know that because Donald Trump was at Arlington Cemetery
28:04with the families of 13 service members who died because of the botched decision to withdraw from Afghanistan
28:10that she said she was the last voice in the room to make. And she's not ready for the job.
28:15She could hardly even do an interview. It's terrifying.
28:20All right, quickly to both of you, we have just a short amount of time,
28:24but what's going to be the biggest difference in these last days of the election?
28:29Doug, first two things, how she does in the debate.
28:35Can she sustain the position she's taken vis-a-vis Donald Trump and the gains she's made with younger people and people of color?
28:43Can she maintain them in the face of Donald Trump having gained against Joe Biden in those constituencies?
28:51Those to me are the big questions. Lisa.
28:57Well, Jason, I just want to point out that Donald Trump is running seven to ten points ahead of where he was in 2020.
29:03And that election came down to about forty four thousand votes and a handful of key states.
29:08And we saw with those polls and historically Donald Trump under they under poll on the underestimate his level of support.
29:15So I don't really know if we have a firm grasp of where this race truly stands.
29:21I think it's all about who can get out the vote.
29:23The people that will make the decision, the people that show up.
29:27Doug, Lisa, thank you again. All right.
29:29Up next, Alina Haba will be here with an important update on lawfare,
29:36plus an insane new bill in California that would give illegal immigrants up to one hundred and fifty thousand dollars to buy homes.
29:45It's now headed to Governor Gavin Newsom's desk to sign.
29:50And don't forget to head over to Hannity Dotcom for tickets to next Wednesday's town hall with Sean and President Trump.
29:57It's going to be must see TV and you might want to be in the audience.
30:01Go to Hannity Dotcom. We'll be right back.
30:20Hi.
30:27Welcome to.
