00:04are five events happening this month across East Lancashire.
00:08Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Jess Glynn will headline a brand new, quarter-of-a-million-pound
00:14music festival this September at the IMEP Arena in Accrington.
00:19The festival, organised by IMEP, International Music Events Production, will take place on
00:24Saturday, September 21 at the home of Accrington Cricket Club.
00:29Demand has already been high, with East Lancashire fans selling out tickets to see the global
00:34superstar Glynn, and an exciting line-up of support acts which are yet to be announced.
00:42TikTok and Instagram star Shahbaz Ali, also known as Shahbaz Says, will headline the free-to-attend
00:48Nelson Food and Drink Festival on Saturday, September 14, with 1.7 million Instagram followers
00:57and 1.9 million followers on TikTok. The social media influencer will now be the celebrity host
01:04for Nelson's popular food and drink festival, whilst also doing book signings on the day.
01:10The event will feature over 30 food and drink stores, including Mama Shah's Caribbean Cooking,
01:17Mrs Dowson's Ice Cream, Istanbul Grill, Procter's Cheese and many more.
01:22The free-to-attend Longridge Soapbox Derby is returning to the town on Sunday, September 15.
01:29This is the third year for Longridge Soapbox Derby, and will see a racetrack being built
01:35down Bury Lane for the enjoyment of families near and far. There will be food, music, entertainment,
01:43picnic facilities and, above all, the race teams who are bringing all of their design,
01:49skills and creativity together for your enjoyment. Thousands of spectators are expected from all
01:56over the Ribble Valley and beyond to cheer on the weird, wacky and wonderful soapbox entrants
02:02who can enjoy watching carefully crafted carts being hurtled down a track consisting of jumps
02:10and water features. On the 27th of September, Backburn Empire Theatre will host a game of Bingo,
02:20but it's not like any normal game of Bingo. Bingo That's Bonkers is a fun, thrilling, hysterical
02:27take on the good old famous game of Bingo, with dancing, live performances and wacky prizes.
02:35With doors opening at 7.30pm, grab your tickets while you can.
02:41And finally, hailed by many as the best night out in the North West, the Hideaway Cabaret has a new
02:47show with two dates this month. Taking place on the 14th and 28th of September, Come Fly With Me
02:55is a brand new show created by Ice Glitz Productions, designed to take you on a trip
03:01around the globe in one spectacularly wild night. Praised for its creative entertainment,
03:08feeling of exclusivity and bring your own booze element,
03:12the Hideaway Cabaret is certainly not one to miss.
