00:04and here are five things to do this week across East Lancashire.
00:08First up we head to Clitheroe where a day of nights with the Silver School of Arms will take
00:13place at Clitheroe Castle. On Saturday the Silver School will host an exciting day of weapons
00:19handling and displays of sword fighting. Demonstrations will take place between 11am and
00:253pm so why not drop into this free family event and meet the experts.
00:30Next up is the Vocal Arts Festival 2024 which will be coming to Accrington this Friday.
00:36The festival has been on a nine-city tour over the past week bringing together globally acclaimed
00:41artists and celebrating wide diversity of vocal nasheeds. The show will take
00:47place at Alhamza with doors opening at 5.30pm.
00:51Also being held in Accrington this week is the Festival of Fun which is aimed at young children.
00:57On Friday 11am until 3pm the festival will include a number of summer fun events
01:04open to all families in Highburn such as creative challenges, outdoor games
01:12and organised entertainment all happening at the new Aero Complex.
01:16International superstar, DJ and producer Ian Van Dahl will be coming to East Lancashire this Friday
01:23as he will be performing at the St Mary's Chambers in Ronstal.
01:28With hit tracks such as Castles in the Sky and Reason Van Dahl was one of the most successful
01:34acts in his era selling records across the globe so get your tickets now.
01:41And finally back to Clitheroe we're a brand new dance and fitness brand called The A-Team
01:47are launching this Saturday with a special opening day.
01:52Held in St Mary's Centre the day will be filled with family fun activities and provides a chance
01:57to speak with staff and students. They also have some extra special performances planned.
