00:00It is entirety, his offense, what he does with that ball, when they throw to him, big
00:09things happen.
00:10They score, they rack it up, he led the NFL in everything, receptions, touchdowns, I mean,
00:17the guy's a freak.
00:18He deserved the money.
00:19There's no doubt, and he is the only thing that scares you on that offense, let's say
00:25that.
00:26And there's no other player on that offense, the defense is, you know, the defense coordinator
00:31is going to stay up at night saying, how do we stop him?
00:33And so he is the focal point of the attack.
00:35He's the number one receiver.
00:37He gets the great majority of the targets, and that's going to continue, and yeah, they
00:41needed to get him in because he and Dak make this offense go.
00:46So do you think they should give, I don't think they're going to, Dak the money now
00:53as opposed to next year when they're going to have to pay him $60 million per?
00:58Yeah, I mean, let's be honest about this.
01:04You don't invest in CeeDee Lamb, give him the copy of money you gave him, record-setting
01:08deal, and not ensure he has a quarterback that you maximize that investment.
01:13And that's not with some rookie or somebody off the street.
01:16That's with a guy that you know that can get him the ball, and that's Dak Prescott.
01:19Certainly, the Cowboys want to get a deal done with Dak Prescott.
01:22Dak Prescott wants to stay with the Cowboys.
01:24Now mentally, how do they meet on the money?
01:27The baseline for any deal is $55 million.
01:30Dak has a no-trade clause, a no-tag clause.
01:33According to everybody that knows these things, he could get $60 million-plus on open market.
01:38So if the Cowboys and Dak, they need to come somewhere in between that before March.
01:45I don't think it's going to happen before the start of the season.
01:47It doesn't have to happen before the start of the season, but it has to happen before
01:50the start of free agency in March, for sure, because Dak Prescott, whenever he signs, wherever
01:55he signs, will be the highest-paid player in NFL history.
