00:35In Pakistan, the death toll from several terrorist attacks spread out in the south-western Balochistan
00:42province has risen to 39.
00:46Hello, welcome to From the South, I'm Ana Marrero from the Tel Aviv headquarters in
00:51Caracas, Venezuela.
00:52We begin with the news, stay with us.
01:08In Venezuela, the 11th Extraordinary Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the People
01:12of America's trade agreement of the peoples of the Americas ended on Monday with a joint
01:16declaration of all its members.
01:18The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Dominican Republic,
01:22Mexican-Kitan navies, Grenadas, and Lucia, as well as the President of Bolivia, Cuba,
01:26Nicaragua, and Venezuela.
01:27During the summit, President Nicolás Maduro thanked the representatives of the member
01:31states in the preparatory meeting of the Bloc's Council of Social Movements.
01:43The El Boticipi's final joint declaration expressed its support to the Venezuelan government
01:47and rejected the attacks carried out by the far-right against the Venezuelan states.
01:51In a communiqué, the regional bloc strongly condemned any coup d'etat or attempt coup
01:55d'etat as they constitute a violent, illegal, and unconstitutional way that threatens democracy,
02:01peace, and life itself, as well as the destabilizing plans and actions promoted by the foreign
02:07factors.
02:08With attempts to disregard the will of the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean
02:12expressed democratically and legitimately at the ballot box.
02:15The document also denounced the disregard of the official results of the electoral process
02:21by violent and fascist sectors of the Venezuelan opposition that has openly requested interventionism
02:28and more sanctions for the country at the expense of the Venezuelan people and which
02:33had already shown signs of its own intentions by not signing the agreement for the respect
02:38of the electoral results promoted by the Venezuelan governing body, the National Electoral Council.
02:43The regional bloc also affirms once again that the Latin American Caribbean is a zone
02:48of peace and demand, the strict compliance with the obligation not to intervene directly
02:53or indirectly in the internal affairs of any other state and to fully respect the inalienable
03:03right of every state to choose its political, economic, social, and cultural system as an
03:10essential request to guarantee peaceful coexistence among nations, peace, and stability in our regions.
03:17The text reiterates a member state's determination to gather to defend today more than ever the
03:22brotherly Venezuelan people from the tentacles of fascism and raise their voices to reject
03:28the interference, manipulation, and imperialism, colonialism, and Cuban intentions to seize
03:34their legitimated rights and resources which have caused so much harm to our people and
03:40ends by sentencing that defending Venezuela is to defend the dream of union and brotherhood
03:47of our heroes and peoples.
03:58During the one-day meeting, several members of the regional bloc took to the floor to
04:02express their support to Venezuela's election results and their rejection to any interference
04:07in the nation's internal affairs.
04:10In his speech, the Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro warned about a powerful outbreak of
04:15fascism not only in Latin America but also in Europe and the U.S.
05:15During his speech at the Albatizipi Summit, Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega accused
05:20European powers of institutionalizing fascism to dominate the world.
05:25Let's take a listen.
05:29Fascism became institutionalized because the European powers, always fighting among themselves,
05:41became the masters of the planet, the masters of the African, Asian, and American continents.
05:56For his part, Cuban President Miguel DĂaz-Canel condemned the Cuban interference against Venezuela
06:01and prized the efforts of the Venezuelan people to overcome the sanctions and blockade imposed
06:05by the United States government.
06:07It is not the first time that the U.S. imperialism and the regional oligarchies showed rejection
06:16and contempt of the will of our peoples.
06:21It's not the first time that they tried to defeat political processes against their interests
06:30because they favored the people, and so it is not possible to remain quiet ahead of these
06:39oligarchies and the imperialism and the assaults in communications against Venezuela, today
06:50against Venezuela and tomorrow against any of our countries.
06:58On the other hand, Bolivian President Luis Arce expressed his total support and recognition
07:02to the Venezuelan Supreme Court's ruling on the results of the electoral process in the nation.
07:07We received recently the decision made by the Venezuelan High Tribunal, which is validating
07:14the result of the polls.
07:18Bolivia welcomed the decision.
07:20We ratified the will of the majority of the people and the strength of the Venezuelan institutions.
07:29The Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Granadines, Raul González, took the floor
07:33on behalf of the Black Six, Isaa, Caribbean nations, and reiterated the group's full satisfaction
07:39with the result of the elections and reiterated our support to President Nicolás Maduro.
07:44I would like to reiterate our full satisfaction on all the processes which delivered the result
07:59in the re-election of Nicolás Maduro as the constitutionally elected President of the
08:11Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
08:30Also in Venezuela, the Electoral Commission of the communes gave an update account of
08:34the development of the Second Popular Consultation of Remem that a democratic exercise was successfully
08:39developed.
08:40In the office of the Minister of Popular Powers for the communes, the Electoral Commission
08:44declared that the voting process in this Second Popular Consultation was successful, achieving
08:50the activation of 100% of the polling stations nationwide.

09:10Welcome back to From the South.
09:34The Islamic resistance movement Hamas denounced that the Taliban regime imposed new conditions
09:39for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip to continue its genocidal actions.
09:43After the negotiations, the Palestinian resistance group ratified its will and effort to stop
09:48the Israeli crimes in the Gaza Strip and indicate that they will not accept new conditions of
09:53the Israeli regime as they go against what was agreed in the last meeting of July 2nd.
10:00Hamas reaffirmed that any agreement with the Taliban must include a permanent ceasefire
10:05in the Gaza Strip, the withdrawal of Zionist troops and the entry of humanitarian aid
10:09into the territory.
10:18In Palestine, patients and the displaced are evacuating from the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital
10:23in the sides of the Israeli occupation army in the center of the Gaza Strip.
10:27Zionist forces issue an evacuation order nearby the hospital located near Bala and attack
10:36surrounding buildings, triggering panic among the population.
10:40Medical authorities reported they have admitted 650 patients in the hospital,
10:44but just 100 cases remain in the facility, including seven in intensive care units.
10:56I am injured and receiving treatment here in the hospital.
10:59Our homes were destroyed and I cannot move.
11:01They want us to evacuate.
11:02I am injured and I do not have a safe place to go to.
11:05Where could I possibly go?
11:09I am afraid that the hospital might be targeted.
11:11I cannot bear another injury.
11:13I would rather die than get injured again.
11:15I am paralyzed and cannot move my arms and legs.
11:20The Secretary General of the UN organization, Antonio Guterres,
11:23expressed his concern over the increasing number of exchange of fire across the border
11:27between Lebanon and Israel.
11:29Due to the hasty escalation of hostilities on both sides of the blue line,
11:35the head of the international organization, through a statement released by his spokesperson,
11:39expressed his concern over the significant number of deaths, displacements,
11:43material and environmental damage caused by the conflicts in both countries.
11:54In Pakistan, the death toll from several terrorist attacks screened out on Monday
11:59in the south-western Balochistan province is rising to 39.
12:04According to the provincial authorities, the so-called Balochistan Liberation Army
12:09claimed responsibility for the terrorist attacks.
12:11Thousands of armed men reportedly intercepted several cars on a highway
12:16connecting the Balochistan and Punjab regions and then shot at the passengers.
12:20Authorities also said that the group could be involved in other armed attacks in the country,
12:25as well as in a roadway bridge explosion.
12:35Syrian President Bashar al-Assad addressed the new parliament on the situation in the country,
12:42its relationship with Turkey, and other international issues.
12:45Regarding the nation's prolonged circumstances of relations with Turkey,
12:51the president said Syria had no problem in discussing the issues of refugees and terrorism
12:57rights by Turkey's officials.
12:59The Australia said that regaining the normal relations with Ankara will result
13:05from withdrawal of the Turkish forces, and that the solution requires openness and politeness.
13:16What Turkish officials continuously declare is related to the issue of refugees and terrorism,
13:23while what Syria consistently declares is related to the withdrawal from Syrian territories and
13:28also the issue of terrorism. We do not believe that we have a problem with any of these four
13:34topics, whether they are Syrian or Turkish issues. There should not be a problem, according to what
13:40some Turkish officials have stated, with the Syrian issues as long as there are no bad intentions,
13:46as they say. When an agreement is reached on these topics, a joint statement should be issued
13:52through a meeting between the officials from both sides, at a level to be determined later.

14:13Welcome back. French judicial authorities extend the detention of the Telegram CEO
14:30Pavel Durov after he was arrested at the Paris airport for alleged offenses related to his
14:36messaging service. The French Agency for the Prevention of Violence Against Minors has issued
14:42an arrest warrant for Durov as part of a preliminary investigation into alleged crimes,
14:48including fraud, drug trafficking, cyberbullying, organized crimes, and promotion of terrorism.
15:02Related to the Durov case, former U.S. intelligence officers Edward S. Oden expressed
15:09on a post on Social Network X that the arrest of Durov is an assault on the basic human rights
15:15of speech and association. He also accused President Emmanuel Macron of stopping the
15:20level of taking hostages to gain access to private messages and informed that his arrest
15:24damaged not only the dignity of France, but of the entire world.
15:28Moreover, the company said that Telegram CEO Pavel Durov has nothing to hide and that he
15:41travels frequently around Europe. They also state that Telegram complains with European legislation,
15:46including the law on digital services, and that its moderation is in line with the industry's
15:51standard and is constantly improving. In Germany, thousands of people demonstrated against the far
16:05right in the run-up to the regional elections scheduled for September 1st in the eastern
16:11German states of Thuringia and Saxony. More than 30,000 people demonstrated in both regions a few
16:18days before the regional elections, in which, according to the polls, the German far-right
16:23AFD parties won the race. Demonstrators protested during the defense of democracy and rejected the
16:29presence of the system in the German parliament.
16:49Moving on, on Monday, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation confirmed 22 fatalities
16:54due to the flash floods that have been impacting the country over the past 10 days.
17:01In this context, the authority informed that 10 of the federal victims were
17:05covered suddenly by the landslides of Phuket Island last week,
17:09while there are also 19 injured after the floods that have affected some 3,000 houses.
17:15The department warned that 31 provinces in the northern and northeastern region will be likely
17:21facing flash floods until Thursday, as a tidal weather experts forecast that heavy monsoon
17:28rainfalls will continue throughout the week. As a result, authorities have urged people
17:33to be on alert and be ready to evacuate if needed.
17:37This year, I feel like there is more flood water than ever.
17:46Our Sukhothai Thani municipality has made preliminary preparations,
17:50but we are still unable to block this enormous amount of flood water.
17:55When it rains heavily, the rainwater flows down from the mountains very strongly.
17:59Who would dare to stay at where our house is? They thought three out of four of us were dead
18:03due to the mudslide, but we survived. It was very deep at where we lived, but we survived.
