00:12The Bersatu President will be charged at the Gua Musang Sessions Court on Tuesday over
00:17alleged seditious remarks concerning the process of the appointment of the Prime Minister.
00:23This was announced by Bersatu Information Committee member Badrul Hisham Shaharin in
00:28a Facebook post on Monday.
00:30Muhyiddin was investigated by the police after reports were made over a viral video during
00:35the Nenggiri campaign period.
00:37In the video, Muhyiddin, speaking at a cerama at Felda Perasu on August 15, seemingly questioned
00:44the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong's decision to appoint Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the
00:49Prime Minister after the 15th General Election.
00:53The video has since drawn severe condemnation from various parties, including the Tenku
00:58Makota Pahang.
01:00At least 29 police reports were lodged against Muhyiddin, who gave his statement to the police
01:05last Wednesday, along with 115 statutory declarations submitted to Istana Negara on November 21,
01:142022.
01:16Muhyiddin had defended his controversial remarks, saying it was just a statement of facts and
01:21he had no intention of insulting the Royal Institution of Malay Rulers.
