00:23 The court was also informed that the prosecution had applied to amend the two charges against

00:28 Muhammad Sanusi who is also January Assemblyman and Perikatan National Election Director.

00:36 Before this, Muhammad Sanusi was charged under Section 4, Subsection 1, Subsection A of the

00:42 Sedition Act 1948.

00:46 This was later amended to Section 4, Subsection 1, Subsection B of the same Act.

00:52 When the amended charges were read by the court interpreter, Muhammad Sanusi said, "I

00:58 amend your honour and plead not guilty."

01:01 According to the amended charges, he is accused of uttering seditious words in Simpang Empat

01:07 Taman Slayang Mutiara, Kampong Pendahara Gombak at 11pm on July 11.

01:14 If found guilty, he is liable to a fine of up to RM5,000 or up to three years' jail or

01:22 In a separate court earlier, Sessions Judge Osman Afendi Muhammad Shaleh allowed one of

01:28 the charges faced by Muhammad Sanusi to be heard jointly and tried in front of Noor Rajia.

01:35 Osman Afendi allowed the application by the prosecution after the defence did not object

01:40 to it.

01:42 On July 18, Muhammad Sanusi had been charged with the alleged offences separately in two

01:48 Sessions courts.
