00:00Wild water rescue.
00:09It was the morning after a big storm.
00:16The search and rescue team were all very busy, making sure that the island of Sodor was safe once more.
00:30The next day, the Fat Controller came to thank them for all their hard work.
00:52Today is a day to be proud of. You have achieved your 1,000th rescue.
00:59And to celebrate your achievement, the Mayor is going to come to present you with a new alarm bell for the search and rescue centre.
01:13And then the Fat Controller asked me to take the Mayor there this afternoon.
01:17That's great, Percy.
01:19And that's not all. Photographers will be there too, which means I'm going to have my picture in the newspaper.
01:26But they'll be taking pictures of the search and rescue team, not you, Percy.
01:34Percy, are you OK?
01:36I'm practising my best photo face. This face? Or this face?
01:42Or this face? If any engine should get their picture in the paper, it should be a modern diesel engine, like me.
01:58Later that afternoon, Percy was on his way to Knapford to pick up the Mayor, and he was very excited indeed.
02:13Diesel! You made me jump!
02:16Sorry, Percy, but I've got an important message from the Fat Controller.
02:21He wants you to pick the Mayor up from the old quarry.
02:25The old quarry? Are you sure? That's a funny place to pick up a Mayor.
02:30Plans change, Percy. You'd better hurry now. You don't want to miss the photographers, do you?
02:37No, I don't. Thanks, Diesel. Bye!
02:49Don't worry, Mr Mayor. Percy will be here soon.
02:54Oh, Diesel, what are you doing here? With a coach?
02:58I'm afraid Percy has a problem, sir.
03:01What kind of a problem?
03:03Well, a steam engine-y kind of problem, sir.
03:06Is something wrong?
03:08No, no, no. Nothing to worry about. We'll be travelling with Diesel instead. Come along.
03:20Poor Percy had no idea that he'd been sent on a wild goose chase.
03:26Mr Mayor! It's Percy! I've come to take you to the Search and Rescue Centre!
03:32Oh, Mr Mayor!
03:35Mr Mayor? Are you in there?
03:45Oh, no!
03:47Percy was so busy looking for the Mayor, that he forgot about the steam engine.
03:53Percy was so busy looking for the Mayor, that he didn't notice that the track was flooded.
03:59Blistering buffers! My firebox has gone out! I'm stuck!
04:09But the Mayor was already at the presentation.
04:12Hooray for the thousandth rescue!
04:17Okay, rescue vehicles, let's have your best photo faces, please.
04:24Oh, no, sorry. Could we have rescue vehicles only, please?
04:32Let's try that again. Best photo faces, please.
04:37Thank you, Diesel. You are a really useful engine.
04:42But not a rescue vehicle.
04:49What's wrong, Diesel?
04:51I wasn't even in it. I mean, why?
04:53Why would they not want a modern diesel like me in the photo?
04:57What photo?
04:59The photo which will be shown in the photo.
05:03But I thought Percy was taking the Mayor.
05:07Diesel, where's Percy?
05:10I don't know. He should have been back from the old quarry by now.
05:14The old quarry?
05:17Oops.
05:23Oh, no!
05:24Oh, no!
05:25Oh, no!
05:26Oh, no!
05:27Oh, no!
05:28Oh, no!
05:30Hmm.
05:36Mr. Mayor? Is that you?
05:42Percy, there you are.
05:45Diesel?
05:46What are you still doing here? Having a bath?
05:50No, I'm stuck. My firebox has gone out.
05:55out don't worry Percy I may not be a rescue vehicle but I can rescue you I'm
06:01a modern diesel engine so I don't have a firebox I have a generator
