Market Cafe opens in Ore, Hastings, East Sussex

The cafe opened on Monday, August 19. Assistant manager Kelly Ramsay explains more.

00:00We started in St Andrews Square Market in 2016 and then we got a really lovely little

00:09cafe in Bexhill in Terminus Road and then this cafe come up and Jason decided that he

00:19would buy it and here we are, five days in and it's been mental.

00:26We offer breakfasts, we do a small selection of dinners here but in Bexhill we do a bigger

00:34selection, we do sandwiches, we do a delivery service Monday to Saturday.

00:43You can get six item breakfasts with a tea, coffee, orange juice, bread and butter all

00:49for like £8 and it's create your own so it's no set breakfasts or nothing, it's all.

00:59Our main meals are £8.95 which I think is quite a reasonable price, we do scampi and

01:06chips, ham, egg and chips, what else do we do, sausage and mash and vegetables, fresh

01:13vegetables.

01:14And it helps people?

01:16It just helps people that obviously are struggling.

01:20We do a kids meal for a fiver and they get a drink with it.

01:25We have quite a few mums bring their children in here because obviously getting a hot meal

01:29for a fiver is quite cheap these days.

01:32I love the customers, that's my favourite, they're lovely and you feel like some of the

01:39older customers, you see them all the time.

01:43You see we've had some of our customers for like since 2016, so yeah it's lovely to see

01:50some of them back because some of them don't drive so they've not been able to get to Bexhill

01:54to see us, so but yeah hopefully fingers crossed it all works out nice, lovely.
