00:00I'm the member of the Senate for Montgomeryshire. This is my local station. I often catch the
00:08train here to get to Shrewsbury or where I'm going to, on to Cardiff or to London. It's
00:14really good to be here today to have a look at the project behind me.
00:17I think most people that are watching this clip will think, well I don't need to have
00:22that accessibility, the extra accessibility, but there are many people and nearly every
00:26time I've got off the train there is somebody with a pushchair or a pram or another disability
00:33issue where they need to have access to the other side of the track. At the moment there's
00:37a long way around to get to that or you've got parents that are struggling with a pram
00:42up and down the stairs. So it's really good that this project will see an end to that
00:46and it's certainly a very worthwhile project which I think will be of benefit to Newtown
00:50and the wider area.
