Rosmah's third bid to quash money laundering charges in 'final stages of resolution'

Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor's defence team and the Attorney General's Chambers (AGC) have reached an agreement on the representation she sent to quash 17 money laundering and tax evasion charges, the High Court in Kuala Lumpur was told on Friday (Aug 23).

00:16Lawyer Datuk Firoz Hussain Ahmad Jamaluddin, representing Rosmah, told Justice K. Munyandi
00:22that as part of the process, paperwork needed to be finalized.
00:26DPP Ahmad Akram Gharib confirmed the representation had reached its final stages of resolution
00:32and that it's just a matter of finalizing documentation before proceeding with the order
00:37from the court.
00:38In light of the latest development, the court did not proceed with resuming submissions
00:43in Rosmah's criminal application to quash the charges on the grounds that they were
00:48baseless.
00:49The submissions were initially scheduled to continue on Friday.
00:53Justice Munyandi then fixed September 6 for parties to update the court.
00:58This was Rosmah's third representation sent to the AGC on December 13.
