Snipers and bulletproof glass: Trump holds first outdoor rally since assassination attempt

  • last month
Donald Trump held his first outdoor rally since surviving an attempted assassination last month.

He spoke at the North Carolina Aviation Museum & Hall of Fame from behind a podium surrounded by bulletproof glass panes, forming a protective wall across the stage.

These measures were part of increased security efforts following his narrow escape from a Pennsylvania gunman on July 13.
Storage containers were strategically stacked around the perimeter to create additional barriers and obstruct sightlines.

Snipers were positioned on rooftops, while old aircraft were displayed behind the podium, and a large American flag was suspended from cranes.
