FBI Director Christopher Wray cast doubt on whether Donald Trump was actually hit by a bullet during the assassination attempt at the Butler rally in Pennsylvania on July 13.
During his update to Congress on Wednesday, July 24, Wray said, “With respect to former President Trump, there’s some question about whether it was a bullet or shrapnel that hit his ear. I don't know right now whether that bullet, in addition to causing the grazing, could have landed somewhere else.”

00:00Where did all eight bullets go, is I guess my question.
00:03I don't have that in front of me. I'm happy to circle back and get that to you.
00:07It's assuming we have that information yet. As I said, I think with respect to former President
00:13Trump, there's some question about whether or not it's a bullet or shrapnel that hit his ear.
00:21So it's conceivable, as I sit here right now, I don't know whether that bullet,
00:26in addition to causing the grazing, could have also landed somewhere else.
00:31But I believe we've accounted for all of the shots on the cartridges.
