00:00Smoke billows over the Gazan skyline as the enclave's civil defence agency says Israeli
00:07airstrikes in the central strip have claimed the lives of children and displaced people
00:11here at this UNRWA school-turned-shelter, where this father lost his son.
00:16He was playing in the playground and suddenly the strike happened. We began to run and I
00:23found my son on the ground. He didn't survive.
00:27According to the Israeli army, the precise strike targeted Hamas militants who were using
00:32the school compound as a military base, though Hamas denies these accusations.
00:38This was the second airstrike on schools in the Palestinian enclave in two days and the
00:4223rd since July 4th.
00:45Further south in Khan Yunis, families mourned their loved ones after strikes on a tent encampment
00:51for displaced people claimed more lives and left dozens wounded.
00:55And following evacuation orders by the Israeli military, scores of Palestinians are on the
01:00move again, searching for refuge. For many, it's not the first time.
01:06Death would be more merciful. We were displaced 20 times. People do not know where to go.
01:11Even designated safe zones are unsafe. We do not know where to go. Should we go to the
01:16sea or else? Death is truly more merciful.
01:22According to the UN humanitarian office, these mass evacuation orders are pushing
01:26Palestinians into overcrowded and unsafe areas along the Gazan coast, with UN offices, warehouses
01:33and residences also being affected, causing critical shortages.
