00:00We heard news on Tuesday of an Israeli Bedouin hostage being rescued
00:07From a tunnel in Gaza. What do we know about how that unfolded?
00:13Yeah, this is really one of
00:16You know, this is a hostage rescue that really stands out for a lot of reasons
00:21Firstly, it's the first live hostage that was rescued from inside a tunnel
00:26The Israeli army was operating in the area
00:29And they collected Intel while they were there that told them there was a Israeli Arab hostage
00:36Alone in one part of the tunnel. They were able to locate him
00:42over several hours
00:44Call out his name in Hebrew to identify themselves and not scare him
00:49He might have thought these early troops were Hamas
00:53He responded and they quickly whisked him out. He's also the first Arab citizen of Israel to be
01:00Rescued he's one of eight of his Bedouin community that were taken by Hamas
01:06Doctors say he's in stable condition. He is expected to be released later today
01:12And we saw very emotional
01:15Reunions pictures and video with his family
01:19He is a father of 11 children and his youngest who just is about to turn one
01:27Had just been born when he was kidnapped from a kibbutz on the Gaza periphery on October 7th
01:35All right, we will be following both these developments very closely. That's ABC correspondent Jordana Miller in Jerusalem. Thanks so much for that analysis
