00:00Now, let's go to the NL East where the Phil still maintain a

00:08six-game lead in the division over the Atlanta Braves, but

00:11the Braves win game one of this marquee midweek set out in the

00:15ATL. Reinaldo Lopez makes his first start since July 28th and

00:20he looked the part of what we have seen all year long. Five

00:23innings of work only allowing a single earned run in striking

00:27out 10. The ERA drops to 2.03. It was 206 entering yesterday.

00:33He's not going to meet the inning requirement

00:36for that minimum this year. If he does, he's going to have the

00:40best ERA in baseball. The Phil's now DRS eight and nine

00:44in August. They still won four of their last six, but the

00:47offense stifled by Lopez and our guy Grant Holmes behind

00:50him. Yeah, just disgraceful here. Certainly from the first

00:54three hitters in Atlanta. O for four, four strikeouts.

00:56Congratulations on the sombrero. Trey Turner, O for

00:59four, Bryce Harper, O for four with three strikeouts. You're

01:01not going to win very many games when guys of that ilk

01:04aren't performed, but also it wasn't as if Reinaldo Lopez

01:06went nine innings and struck out 10 right around one inning.

01:09Okay. That's a great performance. Five innings

01:11pitch 10 Ks, which again, the average would be two strikeouts

01:13per inning. What the heck are the Phillies doing? Like I

01:16understand that they're not really getting pressured

01:18technically here, but you lose a couple more games to the

01:20Braves. Then you're going to start to feel it. This team is

01:23way too good to be floundering. I understand you can't be on

01:26that historic win pace of 115 or 120 games. Not very many

01:30teams in baseball do that. Maybe once every 50 years,

01:33somebody's going to approach that level of winning. But if

01:35we're looking at just from, you should be beating these teams

01:37and this isn't like, hey, you know what? We're catching the

01:40Braves at the right time. They're all healthy and their

01:41aces on the mound. This is a triple A lineup. They're

01:45putting out and beat you three to one yesterday with a pitcher

01:48just coming off the IL and you know he was going to be on

01:50limited pitches here and probably wouldn't pitch late

01:52into that ball game. Embarrassing effort with your

01:54ace on the mound. Give him a couple runs. Win that baseball

01:57game. Put the Braves away. Unacceptable. Yeah.
