00:00Let's take it across to New York.
00:04The Mets were playing host to the Boston Red Sox.
00:06It was the Mets going off as favorites in this one and they deliver in big fashion.
00:12Seven to two, they get the chocolates.
00:14What about the starting arms in this matchup?
00:16Crawford fans, eight there for the Red Sox.
00:18David Peterson with 11 strikeouts, Donnie, 19 between them.
00:23Yeah, fantastic performance.
00:24I said yesterday the Mets would win this game and they did because I thought the Mets had
00:28the better pitcher on the mound and a better matchup at the plate.
00:31But if you would have told me before the game, Crawford was going to go six innings pitch,
00:34two hits and two runs, as you said, I said, you know what, this game might be a little
00:38bit closer than we thought.
00:39But then you take a look at Peterson on the mound, who was spectacular, six innings pitch
00:43and 11 strikeouts, only giving up one run over six hits, spraying those around.
00:48That's exactly what you wanted to see and also making the most of your opportunities
00:51for the Mets.
00:52They're trying to hang in there.
00:53We saw yesterday the Atlanta Braves like a minus 350 favorite.
00:57You knew they were going to win their game and they did.
00:59So it's up to the Mets to sort of hold, serve and stay in there.
01:01And also runners in scoring position.
01:04The Mets only got three of them there, but drove two of those in, which is ultra impressive
01:08as well.
01:09So seven to two, the Mets continue to play great baseball.
01:12And how about Francisco Lindor, two or four yesterday, another home run, three RBI, lifting
01:17his average to 273 on the season, playing his best baseball here, Dubs, at the right
01:22time as well.
