00:00Hello everybody, Toreno here, and welcome to the patch 1.49 dev server.
00:05This is actually the second opening of the dev server, I actually missed the one yesterday,
00:10because it was something like 10 till 2, when it's usually 7 till 11, I was at uni.
00:14I was actually doing the patch 1.49 roundup series, and I just saw an announcement that the server was being opened.
00:21For first things first, there does seem to have been some UI changes,
00:26like arcade battles and all that's been put in this little box here.
00:29I mean it's at the top, but I don't know if it was in the box bit before.
00:33We've also got the online players moved to over here, and an FPS counter down at the bottom.
00:39So that's some minor UI changes, but we're all here to look at the new aircraft and tanks.
00:46Now we'll start off with the Americans, and the one that everyone's looking forward to is the AD-2 Skyraider.
00:52So we'll just let that load up.
00:54Looking at the stats, it's got two 20mm cannons, a max speed of 333mph,
01:01the rest I'm not going to read out because they're usually quite...
01:05I don't know if they're placeholders or if they're just not very accurate, but they always tend to be completely wrong.
01:10But here's the Skyraider, so let's look at armour.
01:13It's got the standard armour around the front windscreen, 40mm, a bit of back armour,
01:18got a bit of armour around the engine area, only 9mm thick, not really going to help you.
01:23That's what protects the engine.
01:25So let's look at the modifications.
01:28So your normal 20mm belt, and it can carry an awful lot of rockets and bombs.
01:35Two 300mm and twelve 127mm, well rounding up, so 14 rockets in total there.
01:43Another 14 rockets, and one 2,000lb bomb, sorry, oh god.
01:52And again some more, another 14 rockets, sorry, 12 rockets and two bombs.
01:58Sorry, I'm not very good at reading this today.
02:01One 2,000lb bomb, two 500lb bombs, and 12 rockets.
02:07Twelve rockets and two 1,000lb bombs, one 2,000lb bomb, two 1,000lb bombs, and twelve rockets.
02:18And twelve rockets and a torpedo, so quite a lot of weaponry there.
02:23I don't think I'll be able to test fly it unfortunately.
02:27Oh, that's come up.
02:29I had to edit something out that popped up on the screen.
02:33I can't test fly it unfortunately, so yeah, I'm afraid I can't actually show you it test flying.
02:40Now the patch note says there's two P-51s, a P-51A, which I assume is this one,
02:46but it also mentions a D-10, which I can't see on here.
02:49Ah, there it is, it's a premium, sorry, I couldn't find it at first.
02:53We'll look at the premium first.
02:55Now it says it comes in a bundle, I don't know if this is one you have to buy,
02:58or if it's, um, if I go to the item shop and battle trophies, is it in here somewhere?
03:04Um, I can't see it there.
03:06They did announce there was new battle trophies, so I was wondering if maybe it was unique to that or something.
03:12But let's look at the armour again.
03:14Again, standard as with the normal P-51, bit of armour around the engine and for the pilot.
03:21Um, there's the pilot and all that.
03:24Oh, actually, I don't usually show the pilot there I don't think.
03:27I could be wrong, but, um...
03:29Speed, 442 miles an hour.
03:32Um, six Browning machine guns.
03:35Let's look at the, uh, if we can find it, the armament loadout.
03:40Basically the same as the normal P-51, I think.
03:431,000 pound bombs, rockets and 100 pound bombs.
03:46More rockets on their own, bombs on their own, you know, all that sort of stuff.
03:50Um, it's got a little bit of writing, Daddy's Girl on the side, I think.
03:55And it's got these sticky up bits, I don't know if they're there on the normal P-51.
03:59Could be wrong, um, what was the other one?
04:01And the P-51, I assume this is a P-51A.
04:04It's got Hispano cannons, I believe the original was actually built for Britain, I could be wrong.
04:10Um, so we'll quickly look at the P-51, I assume this is a P-51A.
04:16It's got a more conventional cockpit, I don't think it's got the teardrop cockpit.
04:21Armour, again, the same as usual.
04:24Loadout, um, doesn't carry any bombs.
04:28I'm just checking if it's actually got a different cockpit.
04:32Here's my P-51D-5.
04:35Yeah, it's got a different cockpit.
04:37So, yeah, it's got a different cockpit, um, I didn't actually look at the speed, did I?
04:41Um, this is 442, and the A is 392, so about 50 miles per hour slower.
04:49Um, again, the rest of the stats are usually quite misleading, but, um,
04:53Rate of climb, 18 metres a second for the D-5, uh, 13 for the A, uh,
04:59D-5's got a turn time of 20 seconds, the A's got one of 20 seconds as well.
05:03Oh, so quite, so a bit slower and all that, but it's got better armour.
05:09Now, the Germans have got this, the B-1, late, um,
05:14basically a Bf 109B with two 7.92mm machine guns, so a preview that quick.
05:21Uh, let that load up.
05:23289 miles an hour, 22 seconds, um, turn time, rate of climb 10 metres,
05:290.2 speed, 10.2 metres, sorry.
05:32No armour, um, so it is kind of bare bones, this aircraft, um.
05:37Remember, it's a very early production model.
05:39Um, very, very early, so like 1936 or something.
05:42Doesn't carry any bombs, doesn't even have any, um, different ammo, I don't think.
05:47Um, just default.
05:49Does it usually show that when it's, um, when you haven't unlocked yet?
05:53Um, go to the 109A4.
05:56Yeah, so it has just got default, it's not that because I haven't bought it.
05:59Um, unless they just haven't added that in yet, I, I don't know.
06:03Um, the other aircraft that everyone seems to be looking at is the C-3.
06:08Um, so 220mm cannons, a bunch of bombs, no armour, um, and you've got the four engines.
06:17Now again, I can't test fly this one because I haven't unlocked it yet.
06:20Uh, bomb load seems to be the same.
06:22Uh, 500kg bombs, 1000kg, 1000 plus 2, 250kg bombs.
06:28Nice looking aircraft, um, you can see the cockpit's all done up.
06:32Um, which, they did that with the other one as well, with last patch I believe.
06:37Now the HS219 got a cockpit, so we'll really, really quickly test that.
06:42Um, you know, just show you what the cockpit looks like.
06:45So here's the cockpit, um, you can see that really thick glass at the front.
06:49Um, can't really turn much, ah, there we go.
06:52It's quite an enclosed cockpit, um, got all these instruments down here.
06:56So, you know, um, quite fit under the glass.
06:59Um, you'll have to sort of zoom in to look at them properly.
07:02They've got dials on the engines, um, I don't know if that's normal.
07:06Um, do they have a...
07:09Okay, so if your engine gets damaged, you can just take a look over and see how it's doing.
07:14Um, lots of different, um, other buttons, I don't know what they all do.
07:21But yeah, that's the, um, HS129B cockpit.
07:25Now we'll move on to Russia quickly, we've also got a bunch of new planes.
07:29Uh, first of all we'll look at the R-9, um, R-9M, Yak-9M.
07:34Oh, sorry, I had a very late night last night.
07:37Uh, I don't know if this, I think this is a long range version of the Yak-9, I could be wrong though.
07:41Um, it's got standard armour, uh, not, I don't think it's got any modifications for bombs or anything.
07:48So, again, it's just another premium Yak-9.
07:51Uh, max speed 383, um, that's better than the Yak-9T and K.
07:58But worse than the 9P and the 9U.
08:01So, uh, yeah, similar to the 9K, I believe.
08:05Um, it's got a 20mm machine gun and one 12.7mm machine gun.
08:10Now apparently Yak-9T and K both got new models, um, I assume this means updated models.
08:16Um, so we'll quickly take a look at them.
08:18I haven't actually got the Yak-9K unlocked, so I won't actually be able to tell the difference properly.
08:22Um, but we'll have a look anyway.
08:24Um, it does look a bit cleaner than most other aircraft.
08:27Um, again, I haven't got the Yak-9K.
08:30I don't think there's any actual other differences to it.
08:32Um, but like I said, I haven't unlocked it, so there's nothing that really, um, looks out of place to me.
08:38Um, the Yak-9T I, oh, wrong button.
08:41The Yak-9T I do have, but I haven't used for a long time.
08:45But we'll look at it again.
08:47Um, I don't know, it does look cleaner than most other aircraft.
08:51I assume that may be from updating it or something, but again, I can't really tell for definite.
08:56Um, I don't think there's any other changes.
08:59Um, but yeah, it just looks like it's updated, um, cosmetically.
09:04Now we also got a bunch of new R-2s.
09:07Um, this R-2 1942 I believe replaced one of the R-2s.
09:11Um, you can see I've got it unlocked, but obviously it didn't have 1942 after, so I'm assuming it's been replaced.
09:18Um, oop, I didn't mean to test fly.
09:21Um, again, everything's unlocked except the DC-40, which gets me some extra bombs.
09:27Uh, the 250kg bombs, um, which I think are new additions.
09:32Um, armour, I think armour's all about the same.
09:35Um, it looks a bit updated, you know, cosmetically again.
09:40And I think there's a bit of, um, the camouflage may have been changed a little bit.
09:44I don't think the Black Sea Fleet actually changed anything before, which was a bit annoying.
09:49Um, so I assume they've actually added that skin in now.
09:52Uh, Battle of Stalingrad, um, yeah, it looks a bit different.
09:57A bit on the tail, it's got that white line, which I don't think was there before.
10:01We'll move on to the next R-2, which is the, if I can find it...
10:06Ah, here's the 1937 and the 1943.
10:09I thought that wasn't quite the same.
10:12Oh, the name change threw me off a little bit.
10:15So we'll look at the 1937.
10:17It's got Russian writing, I don't know if that's meant to be like that.
10:20Yeah, that's more like it, yeah.
10:22I knew I was getting the wrong aircraft, but I couldn't quite work out where it was then.
10:26Um, so let's just look at the armour.
10:29I don't know if the armour's been changed a bit, um, I don't know.
10:32It looks like it's been extended a bit, um, I don't know.
10:35Um, look at modifications.
10:39Um, yeah, not many, not much in the way of bombs.
10:43Although, again, most other attack aircraft don't get bombs anyway.
10:47Uh, offensive 37mm, um, how much ammo?
10:51Yeah, 100 rounds, like in the dev's blog it, um, said.
10:55Um, max speed 239 miles an hour.
10:58I don't know if the cockpit windows have been increased, um, I don't know.
11:02I don't know why I keep, I've got a feeling they've been changed a little bit.
11:05Um, yeah, at 239 miles an hour, it's quite a bit slower than some of the other R2s, I think.
11:13So, that's going to be a bit of a problem in game for people, I assume.
11:19Uh, 1943 model, again, I'm not sure what changes have actually been made here.
11:24Um, look at the modifications.
11:28Oh, it went really slow for a second there.
11:31Seems to have a standard bomb load, um.
11:35Seems to be quite standard.
11:37Um, speed 247, how's that to the other R2M?
11:42So it's a, um, oh, the other R2M, oh yeah, there it is, um.
11:48So it's a bit slower than the Type 3, um.
11:51So yeah, the R2s are kind of confusing, because there's so many of them now.
11:55Um, but yeah, it doesn't seem to be too much different, just seems to sort of lead on to the R2M Type 3.
12:01Um, yeah, I can't really notice much difference other than that.
12:04Um, what else was added?
12:06Um, Dollar Gulshin's LA-7.
12:09Wait, uh, max speed 421, where's the other one?
12:12So it's the normal LA-7, rate of climb 18.5.
12:17So yeah, it's just basically a premium aircraft, um.
12:20So any information? Nope.
12:22Uh, take a look at modifications just in case.
12:25Uh, bomb load, which I think the normal LA-7 takes.
12:28Uh, bit of a unique camouflage, I think.
12:31Uh, armour seems the same.
12:34I'll just check my normal LA-7, which I actually have here, thankfully.
12:38Uh, carries the same bombs, I believe.
12:42Uh, yep, same bombs.
12:45And, yeah, it's just basically a premium with different aircraft, um, aircraft camouflage.
12:50Now the R28 got a new cockpit, but unfortunately I can't actually test it.
12:54Um, so I won't be able to show you that, unfortunately.
12:57Move on to Britain, I think Britain got quite a few new aircraft in this patch.
13:01Oh god, um, that is a lot of aircraft.
13:04Uh, Sea Gladiator, two Sea Hurricanes, a Firefly Mk1, Mk5, lots of Seafires.
13:10Oh god, this is going to take forever.
13:12Ah, what have I let myself into?
13:14Um, no.
13:16Uh, Gladiator.
13:18Let's just compare stats with the normal one.
13:21Seems to be the same stats-wise, so I'm probably not going to test fly it.
13:24Because I'm going to run out of time, otherwise it's going to turn into a huge old episode.
13:29Um, but I'll preview it quickly.
13:33Um, seems to be the same armour, ammunition, um, weapons, that sort of stuff.
13:38It's basically a navalised Gloster Gladiator.
13:42You can see, we'll see the hook at the bottom.
13:44Uh, doesn't come with any armour.
13:46Um, does it come with any...
13:49It doesn't even come with bombs or rockets like the normal Gladiator, so...
13:52There's that.
13:54Um, Sea Hurricane.
13:56Again, I'll check the stats with the normal Hurricane.

14:00Um, oh, the Hurricane up here has been turned into the Mk1 late.
14:04So I don't know if that means anything.

17:46FR-47 has four Hispano cannons.
17:48So they got rid of the machine guns.

18:22Now the Sea Fury
18:24FB-11. Um,
18:26450 miles per hour.
18:28I believe this is actually one of the fastest, um,
18:30propeller-based aircraft in the world.
18:32Um, you know, it's the last propeller aircraft
18:34to serve the Royal Navy. Um,
18:36again, armour is standard.
18:38Uh, modifications.
18:40Again, a variety of bombs.
18:42Twelve rockets. Two 500lb bombs.
18:44Two 250lb bombs.
18:46Looks very good. Um,
18:48You know,
18:50I will have to go up through this line
18:52now, which is going to take forever, but
18:54I think this will be a very good tier 4 aircraft.
18:56Um, battle rating of 5.7.
18:58Um, compared to the
19:00Griffon ones, which are like
19:02between 5 and
19:04uh, where's the
19:06last one? 5 and 5
19:085 and 6, so
19:10should be a quite good aircraft.
19:12Now lastly is a new jet.
19:14The Attacker FB-1.
19:16We'll preview that.
19:18Oh, we've actually got information on this.
19:20Um, we don't usually have information on this.
19:22Um, on new aircraft.
19:24Usually not for quite a few months or even years.
19:26Um, this just gives
19:28information about the Attacker FB-1.

19:34about the aircraft, you know, in game.
19:36Or how it works in game.

20:28in game at the moment. We've got a Mark 16
20:30and a Mark 9, but not a 14.
20:32So I'll look at that first. Um,
20:34speed 448mph
20:36now, which is
20:38similar. It's closer
20:40to the Griffin aircraft. Oh yeah, we have got
20:42a Mark 14 E's up here.
20:44Um, so I assume
20:46it's going to be the same stats wise.
20:48Roughly, as with most other aircraft.

20:54Uh, modifications. Carries
20:56a 500lb bomb, uh,
20:58two 20mm cannons or four,
21:00and two 12.7mm Browning

21:04yeah, I haven't got this far
21:06on the Spitfire lineup. Um, you know,
21:08it's non-premium version, so I can't
21:10tell how good this is, but
21:12it does look like a nice aircraft. Again, it's premium
21:14so, um, that's going to
21:16cost you about, oh, it's a bundle.
21:18A lot of these are bundles. I don't know how you're going to
21:20knock them. Now, the Mark 9
21:22here is actually, um,
21:24oh, it's an LF.
21:26That would explain the difference.
21:28Um, oh, here's the normal LF.

21:32So again, same stats wise.
21:34Um, check modifications
21:36again. Um,
21:38again, 250lb bomb.

21:44Again, it's a premium. I can't,
21:46you know, it's the same as the normal

21:50Um, we'll take a quick look at the Canberra,
21:52because I believe it gets a cockpit.

22:02think it might be added into this. Um, the
22:04x-ray view, but apparently it's not been added.

22:18habit of causing quite a
22:20lot of sound disturbance.

22:28fly this for very, well, I'm not going to fly it at all,
22:30because I'm going to have to
22:32try and keep this to some sort of reasonable

22:36quickly moving on to the Japanese, um,
22:38there's two new aircraft. There's the
22:40Ki-21 up here,
22:42and the J2M2
22:44here. So we'll look at the J2M2 first.

22:48Should that really be this far down?
22:50It's the same as the
22:52A6M2s. The J2M3
22:54is tier 4, and this is tier 2, and
22:56battle rating 3...
22:58It's lower battle rating than the A6M2,
23:00so I

26:32you may not. It depends, you know, when the
26:34dev server closes. There isn't actually a set
26:36time for it closing today, as far as I'm
26:38aware. So, you may get some
26:40test flights. It depends how long
26:42the tanks take, and whether the dev server's open
26:44afterwards. Um, we've already seen the stats
26:46for the planes. We haven't seen the stats for tanks yet.
26:48So, if I did planes, then test
26:50flights, and then ran out of time for doing tanks,
26:52it just, you know,
26:54it wouldn't be very fair, really.
26:56So, I'm going to do it that way.
26:58I'll also be looking at the patch 1.49
