Quick episode from my time on the Dev server for patch 1.47. Only managed to get a brief look at the new additions due to the lateness of my getting on the Dev server, but hopefully will give you a bit of an idea of what new vehicles to expect in 1.47.  My apologies if not up to scratch compared to previous videos, was late when I realised the dev server was up so was quite tired, so sorry if I missed any obvious stuff in the Dev server. 00:00Hello everybody and welcome to the patch 1.47 dev server on War Thunder.

00:05I didn't have any notice whatsoever that this was going to be coming up, I've only just

00:11literally noticed about a few minutes ago, so I'm going to quickly try and look at as

00:16much as I can.

00:17As you can see here, Focke-Wulf 200, Germany's first four engine bomber.

00:24Now it hasn't got particularly good armour, it's only got one armoured seat, and it has

00:30only four machine guns at tier 2, high tier 2, but if we go to modifications, it does

00:38carry a decent amount of bombs, two 1000kg bombs plus another 4 250kg, so 3000kg of bombs,

00:51which is quite good for a max payload at that tier I think.

00:55Now of course there have been other changes, as you can see here the HS129B3 with the 75mm

01:02gun has now been unfolded and put into its own separate thing.

01:08We've also been given the Bf 109 G14, for some reason it's over here before the G10,

01:17I don't know if maybe they did it out of numerical order, or maybe it's just got worse

01:22stats, I'm not really sure how that works out, battle rating 5.7, oh it's got the same

01:28battle rating, not really sure why it's in a different place, but I'm sure Gaijin had

01:34their reasons, can't really see anything else on the German plane tech tree at the moment,

01:41So we'll go over to the Americans, and straight away, B29, yep I think that's the one everyone

01:49wants to look at, although there are other aircraft as well, quickly come here.

01:55Has it got any armour?

01:56It actually has a decent amount of armour on it, only 8mm thick sheets, quite a bit

02:06around the bomb bay actually, and a bit on the end, only 8mm, I think there's a Russian

02:15plane with like 120mm at the back, as I was saying in my last episode, it does seem there

02:22are two Browning machine guns at the back, we've got four 12.7mm machine guns in twin

02:32mountains and two in single mountains, not sure which ones they would be, can't seem

02:39to see them, I assume they're on the bottom somewhere, I'll have to have a proper look

02:44for that when I get a chance.

02:47Now these are actually in remote turrets, so I don't know where the gunner is for this,

02:53you can't see where the pilots are I really think, so yeah I'm not sure where the gunners

02:57would be, they'll just simulate it by having the turrets being hit equal in crewmen unconscious

03:05or something, not sure.

03:08The other major addition is B-57B, a jet bomber based on the Canberra, or is the Canberra,

03:18with four machine guns on it, it's got a bit of armour, a tiny bit of armour at the front,

03:25not sure if it's usually there, clicked it too much, can't actually see where the machine

03:32guns are oddly enough, okay that's weird, it seems to be floating, it says it has these

03:39machine guns but I can't see them, carries a lot of bombs, 8 1000lb bombs and 8 127mm,

03:49oh my god that's a lot of bombs, just realised we didn't actually check the B-29's bombs,

03:57silly me, sorry if I'm not being too chatty today, it's quite late here, oh god 18 1000lb

04:08bombs, are you kidding me, what, how, what, oh god they've definitely got to buff up the

04:15airfields and bomber bases, 18 1000lb bombs, we'll get a test flight in a minute but that's

04:21insane, that is actually ridiculous.

04:27Now Russia from what I can understand has got a new R-2, not sure what the difference

04:32is between the old R-2, oh it's got different cannons, it's got Chevak cannons, this has

04:39the VYA, and has it got, seems to have, no I can't see any other difference, has it got

04:49any information, nope, quickly preview it, they did mention it was going to be an R-2,

04:56I mean I didn't, months ago on the release screen I wasn't sure what it was, I'm assuming

05:01this is the one they were referring to, has a decent amount of armour like all R-2's,

05:07that's good, let's check the x-ray, nothing there, modifications, ok-ish bomb load, decent

05:17amount of rockets, I'm assuming this is just going to be about rating and stats thing,

05:23difference really, 2.7 V3, about the same speed, yeah it only seems to be the cannons

05:31that are really the major difference in them, yeah I'm not sure, it's a good addition, there's

05:37a bit surprised about it, but yeah, doesn't seem too different to what we already have,

05:42now the NIE5FN from what I understand has been updated visually, because I'm reading

05:47this on the patch notes as well, see what this looks like, oh it does look quite nice,

05:53looks, colours are sharper, graphics look a bit different, yeah other than that it seems

05:59to be the same, check the modifications just in case, yeah it seems to be the same.

06:07So we'll quickly move on to the British, see what they've got, oops, welcome back, I'm

06:13sorry I just paused it to go check the patch notes, it seems Britain has not actually received

06:17a single aircraft, which is kind of annoying, Britain's one of the undeveloped nations along

06:24with Japan, so yeah a bit annoying they haven't got a single aircraft, Japan's only received

06:32one aircraft, the, where is it, J2M, I'm just trying to find it, oh I had to pause it again,

06:414K Raiden, it's a premium by the looks of things, 3850, let's quickly check it, armour

06:55has a very tiny amount of armour, 12mm and 8mm, battle rating of 5.3, 4 20mm cannons

07:06and 2 60kg bombs, now of course there aren't just new aircraft, we have new tanks, we'll

07:14start off with the Americans, the first thing is a M26E1, right M26, 101 101 frontal armour,

07:28not sure what the difference is, is it the gun, T54 cannon, yeah it seems to be a different

07:34gun, it seems to have roughly the same armour, so it seems to be just purely a different

07:41gun, have we got any information, they don't usually add information for the first releases

07:48but I always check it just in case, so I haven't actually unlocked higher tier American tanks

07:53so armour may not notice all the differences, but yeah it seems to be 101mm as it says,

08:02it just seems like it's got a better gun, battle rating of 6.3, can penetrate 207mm at 100,

08:10M26 6.3 is the same battle rating but can only penetrate 157mm, so this gets like 50mm extra

08:19penetration, so yeah definitely seems worth it for the same tier, the other new American

08:27tank or anti-aircraft vehicle is the M42, is it the M42 Duster with the 40mm cannons,

08:38armour not great but again it's a self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicle,

08:42protective from shrapnel and all that, can penetrate 58mm of armour at 100m so yeah not

08:50great but again it's an anti-aircraft vehicle and oh my god that is a lot of ammo all over the place,

08:58crew, loader and commander are quite exposed, oh it's just two loaders,

09:05oh the commander's just sitting down for some reason, quite a lot of crew for a

09:11self-propelled anti-aircraft gun if I'm honest, if we go to modifications,

09:18what are these armour upgrades, yeah it doesn't improve its penetration or anything so

09:28yeah seems like a good enough vehicle, although you know like I've said in other episodes I'm

09:35not a huge fan of self-propelled anti-aircraft guns, Germany got the Marder III H, what's the

09:43difference between that and the Marder III, slightly better turret armour, has it got a

09:49better gun, better gun, I'll quickly preview it, I know you're waiting for the mighty mouse but I'm

09:56just gonna leave that for last just so I can have a proper look at it, so I don't neglect these tanks

10:03and all that, again I haven't got that far on the Marder line so not sure how different this is from

10:09the usual Marder other than penetration and barrel rating, 114 at 100 meters,

10:17150, oh it actually has slightly worse penetration, oh it's slightly better at longer ranges

10:25but worse at closer ranges, I don't know 102 at 500 or 86, oh I don't know it seems to be good

10:32for mid-range engagements, now the other addition is the Tiger E, 100 millimetre armour, 102,

10:44again about the same armour, seems to be same gun, not sure what the difference is,

10:50oh it's got machine guns, I think this is mainly something to do with the suspension possibly,

10:58I'm not entirely sure what this tank is, I was assumed there was just one variant of the Tiger

11:04tank so a few were actually built, looks like a standard Tiger, again I'm not a huge expert on

11:11tanks so I will, you know, just putting that out there now, what was the other tanks the Germans

11:20got, ah the Flakpanzer Gepard, where's that, oh yeah just between the Flakpanzer and,

11:28oh yeah battle rating 2 like I said in my last episode,

11:34armour, decent armour especially lower tiers, the 20, well it's not decent but it's okay,

11:40and it's sloped so it's actually quite good in a way, and where's the crew,

11:49oh you've got your driver indoors, or inside sorry not indoors and your gunner up there,

11:54looks a bit weird that vehicle but who am I to say, and of course we have the mighty

12:04Maus battle rating of 8, preview that, wow that is a lot of armour, I will be test driving these in

12:13like the next episode, oh no I won't be test driving this unfortunately because I wouldn't

12:18have it unlocked but I'll be looking at the preview, oh my god 320mm of armour basically

12:26from the front because of the sloping, turret sides like 227mm,

12:34oh you can see here you don't get access to that grenade launcher on the machine guns

12:37unfortunately, basically 170mm thick from the hull at the rear, 205mm at the turret,

12:45oh god this thing is huge and ridiculously well armoured, even the tops well armoured,

12:50it's like the one place they never armour, the worst place seems to be this little bit here and

12:57even that's 50mm, Jesus Christ, oh god it looks like pretty roomy indoors with that huge gun,

13:06you've got a gunner, loader, commander, two loaders, a driver, drivers all the way at the front,

13:15two huge old radiators, a tonne of ammo, what's the penetration on this,

13:2180mm, oh that's a 75mm gun, 240-167mm or you can upgrade to 255-177mm so like with the

13:32Jagdtiger gun, well it is the Jagdtiger gun and that 75mm gun isn't anything to be laughed at,

13:40I mean 100mm penetration that could deal with most light vehicles trying to harass you,

13:48quickly go over to the Soviets

13:53and what did they get, first of all we've got the T126,

13:58I'm not sure what this is, 45-55 armour, where's the normal T126,

14:05oh so quite a lot of armour and same gun, I assume this is going to be like,

14:11there's a tank called World of Tanks which is, it's basically got a really crap gun but it has

14:17ridiculous armour, I'm assuming this was like the Russian version of that except you know,

14:22not quite as good armour, wait, oh my god, 80mm thick armour at that point, oh my,

14:27no I take that back, maybe this is quite ridiculously armoured, oh jesus,

14:3456mm armour from the back, okay the turret's not, oh actually it's quite well armoured,

14:41okay this just seems like it's going to be used as a troll tank or something,

14:45and what crew, driver, machine gunner, commander and gunner,

14:53and the other tank's a T28E, what's the difference between the T28,

15:00hull armour 30-20, seems to be the same armour and same gun,

15:06not sure what the difference is, is it the same speed, yeah it's the same speed as well,

15:13I'm not really sure what the difference is here,

15:16yeah I'm not sure what they've done here, unless I'm being completely blind,

15:24is that bit new, I don't, I can't tell, I don't know if some of it looks a bit updated but

15:30it looks to be more or less the same as it's always been,

15:34yeah same crew, same armour, yeah I'm not sure what to make of that,

15:39um yeah same crew, same armour, yeah I'm not sure what to make of that,

15:45if anyone has noticed the difference and I haven't, you know, feel free to post in the comments, but

15:50last tank is the T54-49, right, um what difference has it got from the 47, 120-200 armour,

16:01uh seems about the same armour, has it got a different gun, uh same gun,

16:08battle rating of A, um I thought, is it me or is this like all the Russian tanks basically the same

16:18as the ones already in game, am I missing something really obvious here, um

16:25yeah I, again I haven't got high tier Russian tanks but I

16:29feel like I'm missing something here possibly,

16:31you've got your same crew as usual,

16:38does it get better ammo or something, what's power penetration, 175 at 100, 175,

16:47yeah I'm at a loss to see what the difference is here, um but yeah that's all the tanks and

16:54aircraft for today, well that's all the tanks for today, I'll probably do the
