00:00In terms of players who might be going on the other way, leaving the club, is there
00:05any sort of standout there so far?
00:07Yeah, well, the interesting one is Joe Gomez, who was omitted from the squad, which, I mean,
00:14I actually did predict that he wouldn't be in the squad, just because I was looking at
00:18the options and thinking, do you need him? Because Liverpool didn't have any injuries,
00:23you know, you have Conor Bradford who's more attacking, you needed a left-back in Simba
00:27Kass maybe, because Andy Robertson's fitness, he's had problems over the summer, and he
00:32became a canary, he's heading the Pechen order. And then the report from the Times says that
00:37Joe Gomez is exploring his options, which doesn't come as a major surprise, to be quite
00:42frank. I mean, you know, just going back before that, the game against Seville, I remember,
00:48you know, it came in for 20 minutes and he was in play in the second friendly, so I thought
00:52something might be afoot here, and it looks like maybe Liverpool will be open to selling
00:57them if they've got a good offer for them. Of course, there was a Newcastle link earlier
01:01in the summer, that wouldn't be a major surprise if he does leave, because he's, what, 26,
01:0727 now, and he hasn't had an awful lot of game time in the past few years, sort of rejuvenates
01:13his Liverpool career last year, operating in both full-back positions, but he wants
01:18to play centre-back, he says that's his best position where he wants to play, and he's
01:23down the Pechen order at the minute, so probably him if there's going to be one. It'd be interesting
01:29to see maybe if an offer came in for Karine Keller, her goalkeeper with Liverpool, look
01:33to take her, and then some of the young players as well, you expect to go on to loan, and
01:38Bobby Clarke, who looks like he might be departing for Red Bull Salzburg on a permanent deal.
