Transcript
00:00A tough day for Paulhurst and Shrewsbury Town as they are beaten 4-1 at home to Peterborough United.
00:07Town now two games into the League One season and are still awaiting their first points of the campaign.
00:13It's hard to really put into words on how to describe this afternoon and what we've seen at the Crowd Meadow.
00:21For large parts of that game they were in it.
00:24I would say that Peterborough were comfortably the better side throughout and could have led.
00:30The fact that they only led the game for the first time in the 60th minute was perhaps a bit of a surprise.
00:35Town took the lead just before the midway point in the first half.
00:40Fantastic goal by Carl Winchester, his first in a Shrewsbury shirt.
00:45Paulhurst would have been furious with the way that they didn't hold on to that lead for longer than a minute
00:51before Kwame Poku drew Peterborough level.
00:55They were the better side throughout the first half and Town were, I wouldn't say lucky, but kind of weathered the storm at half time.
01:02They went behind after 60 minutes.
01:04Another goal from Poku.
01:07Town did have a couple of half chances from that point onwards.
01:13They were still in the game up until the 86th minute, but the concerning point for Shrewsbury fans is the way that they capitulated from that point onwards.
01:22The third goal went in, which was calamitous defending, and the fourth goal wasn't particularly all that much better.
01:29Paulhurst described it as disrespectful to call it Sunday league defending because that was disrespectful to Sunday league.
01:36So it was a very tough afternoon.
01:38Also, Morgan Feeney and Jordan Rossiter have picked up injuries.
01:42Feeney with a hamstring, Rossiter with a knee injury.
01:46The severity of those is still early at this stage, but that does not sound good at all for Shrewsbury.
01:53Don't get any easier either.
01:55Trip to Huddersfield Town up next against the Terriers.
