00:00And that brings us to the New York Jets.
00:07I've grown up in New York my entire life.
00:10I grew up in New York.
00:11Grown up my entire life, pretty much.
00:12That's why I'm here now.
00:13You're still growing.
00:14You're growing it.
00:15A lot of places, trust me.
00:18But I've never seen a fandom as rabid as New York Jet fans.
00:23And Joe was positing that there's a lot of pain.
00:26There's a lot of angst there, decades worth.
00:29And I really feel that if the Jets are winning,
00:32that building can be a tough place to play.
00:34We talk about Philadelphia being a tough place to play.
00:36The Jet fans have something to cheer about,
00:39something to let all those years of frustration out.
00:42It's time to shout at mommy and daddy, Jet fans.
00:45What do we have?
00:47Let me ask all that, really.
00:48Jet fans with expectations.
00:50What could go wrong?
00:51What could go wrong?
00:53I feel like here we are.
00:54It's like it's deja vu all over again, right?
00:57The old Yogi Berra thing where we're sitting here.
00:59We're exactly where we were last year, which is okay.
01:02Well, the defense is really good.
01:04So from a fantasy perspective, actually, the Jets defense.
01:06And they had Dalvin Cook.
01:08Remember that guy?
01:10Dalvin Cook.
01:11Right?
01:12He forgot about that.
01:13Dalvin Cook can really hurt Brees Hall.
01:15Remember that nonsense people were talking about?
01:17I was like, what have you watched that a Dalvin Cook,
01:19that means he's going to take away and carry some Brees Hall?
01:21What the hell is happening here?
01:23Serenity now.
01:24But Aaron Rodgers ran on the field with the flag.
01:26And then, you know, got carded off the field a few minutes later.
01:29And that's, you know, where we are here with this Jets team.
01:32They can go as far as Aaron Rodgers can take them.
01:34I still say I hate the fact that Aaron Rodgers isn't playing in the preseason.
01:38I think it's a mistake.
01:39I really do.
01:40I think that there's something to not playing football for a while.
01:44And then, you know, you're in your 40s.
01:46And I'm not saying he doesn't have anything left in the tank.
01:49Sure.
01:50But he is still at this stage of his career.
01:52He is a QB2 in super flex.
01:54That's what he is.
01:55Don't make any kind of assumptions that he's anything more than that.
01:58It is going to be a team that's going to run the football.
02:01And they are going to play defense.
02:02It's not going to be a team that's in a lot of shootouts.
02:04Right?
02:05That's not their MO.
02:06Run the football.
02:07Play defense.
02:08When you have a lead, run the football some more.
02:10So, that really bodes well for Brees Hall,
02:12as long as he can handle that workload.
02:14And it's going to be much better for him this year,
02:16because what you saw last year was already fantastic.
02:18But that more removed from the injury he is,
02:21the more scoring opportunities with an actual quarterback.
02:24The quarterback play was so bad last year.
02:26And Nathaniel Hackett is, frankly, a joke as a coordinator.
02:30He was a complete joke as a head coach.
02:33That experiment didn't last very long.
02:35The reason why he's got a job is, frankly,
02:38because Aaron Rodgers gets to do whatever he wants.
02:40And that's it.
02:41Period.
02:42End of story.
02:43Anywhere else, Hackett would not be employed if his last name wasn't
02:45Hackett and Aaron Rodgers wasn't the guy he was coordinating.
02:49And I use coordinating in air quotes because, really, it's not.
02:52It's just Aaron Rodgers choosing his place.
02:54But Garrett Wilson is the one thing, too,
02:56where we've seen Devontae Adams explode and be the guy.
03:00So, the reception total here is 95 in the projections,
03:031188 for the receiving yards, eight touchdowns.
03:05There's a world where this is greater than that.
03:07There's a world where he was well over 100 catches on the year,
03:10maybe closer to 1250 and maybe closer to 10.
03:13So, there's upside for Moore, depending on how Aaron Rodgers does
03:17and how long he stays on the field.
03:20And if he has any other issues regarding health or any other issues,
03:24period, that could hurt the chemistry of this team.
03:27Mental and physical health.
03:28And to think that that's not a liability in your investment, it's stupid.
03:33Of course, it's a piece that you have to consider.
03:36You know, I always used to bring this back.
03:39You're a baseball guy, Matt.
03:40I always used to talk about Milton Bradley.
03:42Remember Milton Bradley?
03:43Milton Bradley is one of these guys.
03:45And if you just took the talent of Milton Bradley, man,
03:48what an incredible talent that guy was.
03:50But he was nuts.
03:52And he made a lot of bad decisions, said a lot of wrong things,
03:55did a lot of wrong things.
03:56And sometimes things just did not work out for him in certain spots.
03:59Aaron Rodgers is a hall of famer.
04:01He's one of the great skilled quarterbacks that we've seen in the league.
04:04But he's also been a guy that sometimes when the stage gets big,
04:07he hasn't been big enough for the stage.
04:09And outside of that one run where he had the Super Bowl, I'm right.
04:12And you can tell me I'm wrong all you want, but the stats prove differently.
04:17The 8-8 record in the postseason proves differently.
04:19So don't tell me about the greatness of Aaron Rodgers
04:22and put him in the Brady, Manning, Montana.
04:24Because it's not even in the same breath as those guys.
04:27But this is about fantasy.
04:29This is about 2024.
04:30And Garrett Wilson, Brees Hall are first round picks regardless.
04:34And now the fact that they have Terod Taylor,
04:36a much more capable backup if things go awry,
04:39makes me feel personally a little better about those investments.
04:42Does the Terod Taylor edition make you feel better about Hall,
04:46about Garrett Wilson?
04:47Because you saw Taylor play pretty well last year for the Giants
04:49when he was going home.
04:51Listen, here's the thing.
04:52The Jets have everything they need,
04:54but the one thing no one's talking about is the defense.
04:56And I think that if Aaron Rodgers starts to make some decisions
05:00and do certain things that puts the Jet defense in a bad place,
05:03he's going to lose this entire team.
05:06And that to me, you've talked about it a lot.
05:09What goes on behind closed doors, things that we don't see,
05:12what goes on from the neck up can really impact a huge market team
05:17that is finally going to have the eyes and the lights of the city upon it.
05:21Let's see how they react.
