00:00There are 1,000 Filipinos in Lebanon who are trying to escape the Alert Level 3 in the middle of a war between Israel and the Hezbollah.

00:09But there are Filipinos who are still trying to escape.

00:12This is what Bob Gonzales is talking about.

00:19Following a year of war between Israel and Hamas,

00:22Israel's new leadership and Hamas' ally in Lebanon, Hezbollah, also joined the fight.

00:29In the latest bombing of Israel in southern Lebanon,

00:33ten people were killed, including two children, according to Hezbollah.

00:39Yesterday, the Philippine Embassy in Lebanon urged the 11,000 Filipinos there

00:44not to wait for the war to end and to escape as long as the borders are open.

00:49Of the 1,000 who said they wanted to escape, more than 300 have already returned to the Philippines.

00:55These are undocumented or new arrivals in Lebanon.

00:58They are not yet used to the regional tensions.

01:00What they need is their exit clearance.

01:03Because the payment of a plane ticket is paid by the government.

01:07The Overseas Workers' Welfare Administration called on the relatives or acquaintances of the OFWs in Lebanon

01:14to talk to them about returning to the Philippines.

01:17Bernadette Giang, who has been an OFW in Beirut, Lebanon for eight years,

01:21said she will not leave even if her family sends her back to the Philippines.

01:26I'm not worried.

01:28I just want to move to the Philippines.

01:34Don't worry about me because I'm okay here.

01:39If the situation gets worse, I might go home.

01:44Alert Level 3 is the situation in Lebanon of voluntary repatriation

01:48and the government's response to expenses for those who want to go home.

01:52The DFA is also monitoring if it needs to be elevated to Alert Level 4 or mandatory repatriation.

01:57The Department of Migrant Workers said they are ready to help in the evacuation.
