Protesters took to the streets in many parts of the world, including the United States, Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Peru and Chile on Aug 17 condemning the results of the July 28 Venezuelan presidential election.

Venezuela's electoral authority said President Nicolas Maduro won his third term with just under 52% of the vote but the opposition, led by former lawmaker Maria Corina Machado, has published online their results giving its candidate Edmundo Gonzalez a hearty 67% support.

02:00So, like Maria Corina, I'm with her, and we have to keep fighting.
02:04We have to get to the end and give everything we have, because what we have suffered is enough.
02:17What I hope is that Maduro recognizes his defeat and gives the power peacefully.
02:23What I think is going to happen is that the dictatorship is going to be more fierce,
02:28and we all have to unite against the dictatorship and show that the good guys are more.
02:59The president, the president of the world, the president of the world.
03:12We want freedom, and we are from Venezuela.
03:28We want freedom, and we are from Venezuela.
03:47We are in a concentration in favor of the defense of the votes of Venezuela,
03:52and in favor, of course, of the appointment of Mundo González Urrutia as president.
