00:00An UMNO leader has asked past President Abdul Hadi Awang to do some self-reflection after
00:07Hadi remarked that UMNO had become senile. UMNO Supreme Council Member Nur Jazlan Muhammad
00:14told FMT that Hadi was the one who has become senile and should step down as past chief
00:20to make way for a new leader. He said Hadi should do some self-reflection and take a
00:25step back to give young, healthy professionals the chance to lead past. He said the majority
00:31of voters in Malaysia are now younger and want leaders with the vision to champion their
00:36interests, not those who are full of rhetoric. At an election ceremony in Ngegeri last night,
00:42Hadi said UMNO had become senile and afflicted with an old age disease. Hadi also claimed
00:48that many UMNO members did not back their own party at the polls. Another UMNO Supreme
00:54Council member, Razlan Rafi, said the past-led Kelantan government was the one that was senile
00:59given its failure to improve the quality of life of its people despite three decades governing
01:04the state.
