00:00Overall, Elliot Wolfe has done a really nice job.
00:04I completely disagree with him on the number three pick.
00:07I would have taken Marvin Harrison Jr., and in seeing more of him, you realize, holy hell,
00:13that guy was ready to step into the NFL and play day one.
00:17May isn't, but I get it, I understand it.
00:19They went after IUK, they made runs at people in free agency.
00:23I know they didn't land the fish that some people wanted, but in all seriousness, this
00:29was a move that Elliot Wolfe needed to make.
00:32He couldn't let Matt Judon go back two years in a row, especially coming off of a season
00:37where he was injured the overwhelming majority of the time, and then go back in and get more
00:43money because of whatever status people on the outside put on that guy.
00:49This is the move that Elliot Wolfe needed to make to say, you know what, I'll extend
00:54some people, I'll listen to arguments, but we're not doing this the whole back-to-back
00:59years where you're coming off a season where you're injured.
01:02And to me, this was Elliot Wolfe, in a way, drawing a little bit of a line in the sand.
01:08Hey guys, I'm different than Bill, I'll at least listen, but don't step over the line.
01:15And to me, Judon kind of went a little too far.
01:19They had to do the whole told out for the one day at practice.
01:22He came back, boo-boo face, they got him out.
01:26So that to me is, yeah, so okay, credit to Elliot Wolfe for not overpaying Matthew Judon.
01:32Well, it's also credit Elliot Wolfe for, he has to build his standards for the players
01:40in this organization.
01:41How am I going to deal with them?
01:43How am I going to have a line of people every year on my door knocking, hey, I want a new
01:48contract because they had a great year the way Judon did a year plus ago at this time.
01:56So no, this was Elliot Wolfe to me, putting the flag in the ground and saying, okay, I'm
02:02not going to be a pushover.
02:04I think his head coach might be, which is a part of the reason why Judon needed to get
02:08the hell out.
