00:00We're gonna get into that as well, but Major League Baseball is hot yesterday and so is
00:07your boy.
00:08Six RBI props yesterday, four and two overall, plus money in my pocket and the reason I brought
00:13that up is because one of the guys I thought that would get an RBI, Jordan Alvarez, DH
00:18for the Houston Astros, 0-2 yesterday, two walks, tough scene, didn't cash in, but the
00:22Houston Astros did as they keep their streak alive, winning eight straight ballgames and
00:27going up against the Tampa Bay Rays, knocking the Rays back down to 59-61.
00:32The Houston Astros, 65-55.
00:35It feels like it wasn't long ago.
00:38I would take this microphone every single day on the Astros and tell you, this team's
00:42dead.
00:43Stick a fork in them.
00:44They're never gonna get right.
00:45They continue to get injured.
00:46We don't know who their starting pitchers are here and yet they are going to lead the
00:49way in the AL West down the stretch.
00:51This is one of those teams where you say, playoff pedigree, championship pedigree,
00:55whether they cheat it or not is irrelevant.
00:57This team knows how to get it done in the biggest moments and they're doing that now.
01:00I didn't think this team was going to make the playoffs.
01:02I thought this team might be 10 games back of the Seattle Mariners as we're talking right
01:06now on August 15th, not actually being in the race to win the AL West because if we're
01:12taking a look at the standings right now, they're up two and a half games on the Mariners.
01:15You gotta be kidding me.
01:16Look at those price points here.
01:17The AL West to win, a minus 3.70 price as if it's already locked up for the Astros to
01:22win the West.
01:23Plus 4.90 in a World Series at an 11 to 1 price.
01:27If you're looking at that game overall, I wasn't, and again, the handicap for me was,
01:31yes, I think it's a cheap price on the Astros to win that ball game yesterday, but sometimes
01:35it's better to be lucky than good.
01:37I didn't know if Blanco was going to give the Astros a good start.
01:40Six innings pitch, no earned runs, phenomenal, but how about this?
01:43I thought Letell would be a little bit hampered at home, even though it is a true pitcher's
01:47ballpark that we always talk about.
01:49Five innings pitched, one earned run, lowers his ERA to 3.89.
01:53You should win that game if you're Tampa Bay, but now the Tampa Bay Rays starting to slip
01:57back as well.
01:58Look at the American League East here.
02:00The Tampa Bay Rays, usually a playoff perennial contestant here, 59-61, two games under .500.
02:08How far are they back?
02:0912 games overall.
02:10If I'm flipping over to the wildcard standings right now for the American League, I slide
02:14all the way down and find, hey, look, the Rays, six and a half games back out of that
02:19final playoff spot, which means you got to jump the Mariners, the Red Sox, and the Royals
02:24to do that.
02:25And also, did the Rays give themselves any leeway at the deadline?
02:28No, they didn't really make any moves that were going to help the team.
02:31They traded away a player, got a player back, so it was almost a wash.
02:34The Tampa Bay Rays this season, maybe something that we're not going to be able to watch,
02:37but the Houston Astros, certainly something that we're going to be able to factor in.
