Paul Swan echoes No. 3 team’s feelings of ‘bad luck’
A lengthy winless streak was snapped Sunday after the No. 3's win at Richmond; crew member Paul Swan shares the collective feeling of returning to Victory Lane.

00:03Welcome to the playoffs, Paul.
00:05How'd you guys do it?
00:06Let's first talk about the money stop,
00:07because you guys were clutch on Pitt Road.
00:09What can you say about this team?
00:10First off, I love the way that sounds,
00:12welcome to the playoffs.
00:14That is amazing.
00:14It's been a trying season for us, I'd say.
00:19Hasn't gone our way.
00:20We've had a lot of bad luck.
00:22A lot of things just haven't gone right for us.
00:24So for us to race the way we did, we came in, we unloaded.
00:29The car was great.
00:29We practiced great.
00:30We qualified great.
00:32We had great pit stops all night.
00:33Austin drove his ass off all night long,
00:36especially on that last lap.
00:38And that money stop, I mean, we were pacing back and forth
00:41that entire time.
00:42There wasn't a caution all night or a caused caution.
00:45And then five laps to go, go figure, spins out.
00:47But for us, we love that.
00:49We relish in that.
00:50The money stop, we want to be put on that stage
00:53and have that chance and opportunity
00:55to put them out first and show what we can do
00:58and what we've been doing all season.
01:00We've been a really good pit crew all season.
01:02And it was really fun to showcase that in the top five,
01:05top 10, coming down P1 at the money stop
01:07and putting them out P1.
01:09So it was a lot of fun tonight.
01:11This crew is one of the closest on pit road.
01:13You guys hang out together.
01:14You're buddies.
01:15You attend each other's wedding and events.
01:17What can you say about this crew this year
01:19that has led you to this point?
01:21I'm getting goosebumps just listening to that, honestly.
01:24We're such a tight-knit group.
01:26Austin, I would say, knows his crew
01:28and spends more time with his crew
01:30than any driver on pit road.
01:31He knows us all personally.
01:33He's one of my best friends.
01:34All the guys on the pit crew I'm with, we're all best friends.
01:37And we have been together for so long.
01:38And we enjoy coming out on the weekends together.
01:41We enjoy it because a lot of us, we
01:43spend more time with each other than our families sometimes.
01:45So you better like who you're doing that with.
01:48And luckily for us, we really enjoy each other.
01:51We always have a great time.
01:52And for us to just go out and do that all night long tonight
01:55was so much fun.
01:56Do we get tattoos?
01:58I don't know.
01:58There might be some tattoos.
01:59There's going to be a lot of tequila drinking tonight,
02:00though.
02:01It's going to be a lot of fun to have.
02:02I don't know where I'm going to wake up
02:03or where I'm going to end up.
02:04But we're going to have a party.
