00:25The country is preparing a hero's welcome for the arrival tomorrow, Tuesday,
00:30of double gold medalist Carlos Yulo and the rest of the athletes who participated in the Paris 2024 Olympics.
00:37Upon their arrival at 6 p.m., they will proceed directly to the Mahalika Air Base,
00:42where they will be greeted by their families.
00:44From there, they will be head straight to Malacanang,
00:47where they will be welcomed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and First Lady Lisa Marcos.
00:53After that, they will proceed directly to the Ceremonial Hall for an awarding ceremony and a dinner reception.
00:59In Malacanang, Yulo and all other 21 athletes are expected to receive citations.
01:04We're giving presidential citations to all of the athletes,
01:08including the two, Neste Pateso and Ida Villegas, who received bronze medals.
01:13But the presidential citations given to Ms. Villegas and Ms. Pateso
01:20will specifically mention that they're receiving them for their bronze medals.
01:23Carlos Yulo will be receiving a Presidential Medal of Merit.
01:28When asked by the media whether the president will be giving cash incentives to the Olympic winners,
01:33the president will be announcing the cash incentives upon the welcome honors for the Olympians.
01:41The next day, Wednesday, from their accommodations,
01:44the athletes will be taken to Aliu Theater in Pase City,
01:47where a motorcade or parade will take place, leading to Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.
01:52The government is encouraging Filipinos to join in welcoming the heroic athletes.
01:57The parade, scheduled for 3.30 p.m., is free and open to everyone.
02:02For the motorcade or the parade, it will be a 7.7-kilometer-long parade that will start from Aliu Theater
02:11and then left turn to Rojas Boulevard and then right turn to P. Burgos,
02:16straight ahead to Finance Road until it reaches Taft Avenue,
02:23then right turn to Quirino Avenue up to Adriatico Street,
02:29and it will end up at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.
