00:00Folks, if you're new to this show, I just want to let you know when Joe starts to talk
00:06about a player, a football player in like May or April, you have to understand that
00:11Joe really likes a player and he's usually right about a lot of things.
00:16Ladd-McConkie though, I think the conversation becomes who's throwing the football, right?
00:21We oftentimes want to talk about the quarterback receiver relationship.
00:25Ladd-McConkie was very high on your list for a very long time.
00:28Still the same?
00:30He is.
00:31The plantar fascia with Justin Herbert, something we're going to talk a lot about in hour two.
00:36But I still like Ladd-McConkie.
00:38It's hard not to because again, it's a situation that's very clear.
00:42Josh Palmer is an average NFL wide receiver.
00:45I don't know if he is special.
00:46Can he be a guy that you draft and play in matchups or during bye weeks?
00:50Absolutely.
00:51Ladd-McConkie has the opportunity to kind of grow and become a really important slot
00:54wide receiver.
00:55When we talk about PPR leagues, those slot wide receiver points are huge.
00:59They are much bigger because they get more looks, more targets typically.
01:04And if Herbert is limited by that injury earlier, in some ways, we're going to have to get rid
01:08of the ball quicker.
01:09We're going to have to look for guys like Ladd-McConkie who can get open on his own.
01:13And Ladd-McConkie, as long as he's healthy, is another one of these wide receivers where
01:16I'd rather take guys like Christian Watson over him.
01:19Yes, because of the quarterback situation and the talent of guys like Christian Watson.
01:22But in that same wide receiver 40 range, it's hard not to like the appeal of Ladd-McConkie.
