00:00Let's talk about this particular wide receiver first in the buy low, sell high category.
00:07Yeah.
00:08I think that when you're talking about, you know, expectation for rookies every year,
00:13it's a little tricky, you know, because you just never know how these guys are going to
00:16play.
00:17Some guys play great.
00:18Some guys, not so much.
00:19And with Ladd-McConkie, this was a matter of assignment, right?
00:22He was going to play in the slot, slot receivers typically are great PPR investments.
00:27They get peppered with targets, right?
00:29And so far in the year, he is only right now wide receiver 51.
00:33That's kind of underwhelming, right?
00:35We look at that.
00:36But I think there's opportunity here because nobody else has really stepped up.
00:39And I like the trend line of where we're going.
00:41The last game we saw him against Denver, he got eight targets.
00:44Now that's a season high.
00:45And the other thing you think about too is with some of these rookies, you see them hit
00:49the bye week and then they start to peak after, right?
00:51So he had the bye week in week five.
00:53He comes out of that gate, four catches for 43 yards.
00:56Okay.
00:57So that's another, you know, decent eight point day, whatever, you know, like to be
01:00in the double digits.
01:01I think as you look ahead here, Arizona, New Orleans, they're going to have a Cincinnati
01:06down the stretch there and a couple other good matchup.
01:08I think Ladd-McConkie is going to emerge.
01:10I think he's a piece you could probably get on the cheap right now.
01:12So I would be acquiring him.
01:14Palmer has had injury issues.
01:15He can't stay on the field.
01:16Quentin Johnson's on a couple, you know, splash moments.
01:19But I think this is the kid who's going to every week now start to garner a little bit
01:23more of that target share.
01:24I like him this week too.
01:25I think he's in a good situation here against the Arizona Cardinals.
01:27And I think that Ladd-McConkie is one of these smart buy low investments, truly a buy low,
01:34because again, wide receiver 51 isn't exciting.
01:35He might even be, as Matt said, in your shallow leagues on the waiver wire.
01:39People might've dropped him after the bye week because they just, it wasn't happening
01:41and they needed more bodies to play, especially with the injuries we've had in the NFL so
01:45far.
01:46But Ladd-McConkie, I think is one of these players that if you invest in him, I could
01:49see the last eight games for Ladd-McConkie being far more productive than the first eight
01:55or nine.
01:56And that is a trend line that these are the deals you make.
01:58They might not be the sexiest deals.
02:00It might not be the, I'm just acquired Devante Adams or Tyreek Hill, but sometimes it's the
02:04Ladd-McConkie, especially now that he's past his bye week, it can really help you because
02:08we have some major bye weeks ahead of us, 12, 14, where you can have a ton of teams
02:13on by and guy like Ladd-McConkie is going to be very valuable.
