"lol." CeeDee Lamb responds to Jerry's lack of urgency on getting his contract done

In the midst of a joint practice with the Rams that should've taken all the headlines, Jerry Jones made it all about himself. He said there's no urgency to get a deal done with absent WR CeeDee Lamb, who responded on Twitter with a simple "lol.". Is this contract issue getting to a boiling point? And can the Cowboys "win" these negotiations like they always try to do?

00:00The RJ and choppy show RJ brought to you by I mean, my question is, when did they ever
00:21actually win these negotiations? It's just players hold out and get what they want. And
00:26then now we're behind the eight ball flipping switches in the cap. It's great point. I mean,
00:33do they win the negotiations? That is the new feature on the odyssey app where you can
00:36leave us a message that is Nars to Dallas. You can leave us a message and tell us your
00:41thoughts on, I mean, any subject really. But today the main topic of conversation has been
00:48and is going to be all day on one Oh five to the fan. Uh, the CD lamb contract where
00:53Jerry Jones and, and, uh, you know, made a statement and then CD goes on social media
00:59and now an entire firestorm happens. But to that, to that point, do the Cowboys win these
01:04negotiations or is that, no, they, they very, I'm trying to think of a couple ones that
01:09they have. Um, they won Tyron Smith years ago. Uh, and I mean, I guess you could say
01:16they won a Mari Cooper, but again, like so much that it's like, do they win it? Or do
01:20those players just go, Hey, I want to be here. So I'll cut you a deal. Like, I don't know.
01:25That's winning the negotiation. That's they're allowing you to, to sign them to whatever
01:28deal you wanted. But man, they, they paid a lot to Zeke. They lost the DAC thing. They
01:34lost the DeMarcus Lawrence deal. They've lost plenty of them over time. I don't know why
01:39you wait as long as you have, but you, you seem to think that this is less about less
01:43about a contract issue or less about the tension and more about, uh, the, the story
01:49here is how, uh, what's the old Winston Churchill line. I have no idea. A lie has a lie. I'll
01:56get halfway around the world before the truth has time to get its pants on. Yeah. I don't
02:01know what you're talking about there. The idea that the mistruth gets halfway around
02:06the world, spreads halfway around the world before the truth can even get out the door
02:09and start trying to fix, like fix what was said. Okay. So what you're saying is, is that
02:13I think this is all much do about nothing. Yeah. And that you think it's more about miscommunication
02:17than anything else. Well, look, this is okay. So it's been, it's been presented as Jerry
02:24said very coldly. I have no sense of urgency to get this done, which I mean, to be fair,
02:32it didn't say he coldly said it's just that the quote was shared, right? And it reads,
02:37this is just like reading a show, a text from Sean. I read all texts from Sean in an
02:41angry, Oh, I read the ones last night from angry or not. Oh yeah. Yeah. So I read all
02:49texts from Sean and a very angry at the world voice. Oh, now not all of them are like that,
02:56but that's just how they read because that's how I've seen him. Every time he texts somebody
03:01in here, he doesn't text. First of all, he talks into the phone and where are we with
03:08John Smoltz? Yeah. So stupid ass tape. And so I just read them all like that. When you
03:14just throw it, when you just throw words together, I think they read far differently than a lot
03:21of times than they're intended to look to read. Sure. So it's the, the, the quote read
03:26exactly Bobby. I have no sense of urgency.
