Opening to Better Off Dead 1996 VHS

Fun fact on the back of the case: "Writer/director Savage Steve Holland says "Better Off Dead" is semi-autobiographical. After his high school love ditched him, he picked up an 8-millimeter camera and made some depressing movies that had the exact opposite effect on his friends - they laughed."
I don't know why people (including the director himself) say that this wouldn't be made today. Other than two Japanese characters (although I'm white so take this with a grain of salt) and the fact that Dan Schneider is in this the film has aged well and has a great message.
